About Oldland Common Oldland Common is a newly built development offering six self-contained homes for adults aged 18 and over. The service is designed for people with high levels of complexity, including behaviours that challenge, communication differences, autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and, in some cases, forensic histories. Our aim is to support people to resettle successfully into the community, develop independence, build meaningful routines and live safe, fulfilling lives. Support is typically delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on the needs of each individual. About the role As the Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager and helping lead a team that provides safe, structured and person-centred support. You'll help ensure high-quality practice, strong communication and a consistent approach across the staff team. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operational running of the service, • Leading, supervising and developing staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support, • Ensuring Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches are embedded in everyday practice, • Contributing to assessments, risk management and support planning, • Overseeing rota planning, shift coordination and staff allocation, • Supporting MDT communication, family involvement and partnership working, • Ensuring accurate documentation, incident reporting and governance requirements, • Helping maintain a safe, structured and enabling environment for residents and staff This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, offering up to £34,000 per annum. Shifts may include occasional evenings, weekends or on-call duties depending on service need.
