What the Role Involves As a Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, providing both compliance and advisory services. You’ll work closely with partners and colleagues, helping shape the tax department’s future. Key responsibilities: Manage and review corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance submissions Handle HMRC enquiries and liaise directly with authorities Support VAT compliance, including registrations and queries Prepare and review P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements Mentor junior team members and contribute to departmental growth Stay up to date with tax legislation and share insights with the team What We’re Looking For 6+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential) Strong experience across corporation and personal tax Qualified (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CTA) or part-qualified Excellent client management, analytical skills, and attention to detail Experience with tax/accounting software (IRIS, CCH, Sage, Xero) Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills Please note: this is a practice-only role; industry/in-house candidates will not be considered.
