Big Bazaar is a supermarket with speciality in Indian Grocery, it's a fast paced interactive job space. We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team in Big Bazaar Reading, (rg1 5bj) as a Cashier, Shelving and Stock Management. In this role, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions, maintaining accurate records of sales, and ensuring that our store shelves are well-stocked and organized. You will also be responsible for managing our inventory and coordinating with our vendors and suppliers. Responsibilities: > Greet customers as they arrive and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience. > Ring up sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or POS system. > Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods. > Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store shelves and display areas. > Stock shelves and rotate merchandise as needed to ensure that products are fresh and fully stocked. > Keep track of inventory levels and coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. > Monitor and report on sales trends and inventory levels to management Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations as needed. > Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following cleaning and sanitation guidelines. Qualifications: > High school diploma or equivalent > Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment preferred > Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling > Excellent customer service and communication skills > Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment > Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed > Proficiency in basic math and computer skills > Must speak in English and Hindi > Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Reporting to the manager, your role will be to deal with new and regular customers on the phone, to handle service enquiries. You may also be allocated to help in the warehouse to prepare customer orders for delivery by our team of drivers. Many of our customers are older people, so you will need to be an excellent communicator, with good customer service skills. Attention to details, patience, accuracy, ability to meet sales goals and data entry skills are required. Ideal candidate must be IT literate with Microsoft word & excel skills. Working knowledge of SAP system would be an added advantage. Full training will be given. There is a physical aspect to the preparation of customer orders, so you will need to be reasonably fit and mobile, as well. You may be asked to be flexible with timings, as we aim to make sure our customers are catered for.
