Residential Conveyancer • Location: Chigwell, • Job Type: Full-time Day-to-day of the role: • Manage a caseload of residential and new build transactions from instruction through to completion., • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and related documents, providing tailored legal advice to each client., • Conduct title checks, searches, and due diligence to identify risks and ensure compliance with property law and regulatory requirements., • Liaise and negotiate with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, local authorities, and other stakeholders to progress matters smoothly., • Advise clients on legal aspects of property transactions, including mortgages, covenants, easements, SDLT, and leasehold/freehold structures., • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) standards and adhere to anti-money laundering (AML) regulations., • Maintain accurate and timely records on the case management system, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and deadlines are met., • Handle completion and post-completion matters, including the transfer of funds, registration with HM Land Registry, and SDLT returns., • Deliver a high level of client service, keeping clients informed of progress and managing expectations., • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Paralegal with experience in residential conveyancing., • Strong understanding of property law and the conveyancing process., • Excellent communication and negotiation skills., • Proficiency in using case management systems., • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines., • Strong organisational and time management skills.
