The school will support young people aged 11-16 with needs related to social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing, typically associated with Autism. With small class sizes, high levels of classroom support and a strong multidisciplinary therapeutic team, students follow a personalised curriculum built to match their needs, interests, and aspirations. The Role: Science Teacher We are looking for a passionate and proactive Science Teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching for learners with complex SEND needs. In this role, you will deliver engaging Science lessons up to GCSE level, adapt learning to individual needs, and work closely within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will be based at the Redhill site with occasional work at a nearby satellite provision. Key Responsibilities • Deliver and develop the Science curriculum, tailored to students’ educational, social and physical needs., • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team., • Maintain detailed long, medium and short-term planning to support effective teaching., • Set personalised targets to optimise each pupil’s progress., • Monitor, assess and report on student progress to parents, staff, and external bodies as required., • Develop reflective lesson plans and adapt teaching in response to learner outcomes., • Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEPs and LAC documentation., • Provide structured, motivating lessons with clear pace and challenge., • Maintain awareness of current developments in autism education and SEND best practice., • Manage challenging behaviours in a calm, non-confrontational manner in line with school policy., • Support the broader needs of this growing school as required.
