SEN Tribunal Officer • Duration: 8-week contract - potential to be extended, • Fully Remote, full time, • Rate: £440 per day (umbrella, inside IR35), • Requirements: Enhanced DBS Key Responsibilities: Case Management • Oversee and coordinate cases related to SEN appeals and tribunals., • Ensure compliance with statutory timelines and tribunal procedures., • Provide clear information and advice to parents, carers, schools, and professionals regarding tribunal processes., • Act as the main point of contact between the Local Authority, schools, legal representatives, and the tribunal service., • Draft written responses and statements for tribunal cases., • Gather, review, and present evidence to support the Local Authority’s position., • Attend tribunal hearings, presenting the Local Authority’s case where appropriate., • Ensure decisions and processes comply with SEN legislation and the SEND Code of Practice., • Contribute to reviewing tribunal outcomes and identifying learning to improve future practice., • Support staff training and awareness on tribunal processes and legal obligations.
