Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global seafood business to recruit a Senior Quality Manager for their site in Fife. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume food manufacturing environment. You will lead the site Quality function, ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, legal and high-quality products, while driving a strong culture of continuous improvement across the business. Your new role: As Senior Quality Manager, you will lead and develop the Quality Assurance team, ensuring the effective operation of the Food Safety & Quality Management System. You will act as the site’s key technical representative, managing audits, customer relationships and regulatory compliance, while working cross-functionally to embed quality at every stage of the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include: • Leading and developing the site QA team to ensure high performance and engagement, • Maintaining HACCP systems in line with legislation, best practice and customer expectation, • Ensuring full compliance with BRCGS, retailer standards and UK/EU food safety legislation, • Leading all internal, external, customer and third-party audits, • Managing non-conformance processes, including root cause analysis and CAPA, • Driving a proactive quality culture across the site through coaching and collaboration, • Monitoring and reporting on key quality KPIs including complaints, GMP, audit outcomes and product performance, • Partnering with NPD, Operations and Engineering to ensure quality is embedded across all processes, • Acting as the main technical contact for customer queries and complaint investigations What you will need to succeed: • Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related discipline (or equivalent experience), • Level 4 Food Safety and Level 3 HACCP (minimum), • Proven experience in a senior Technical/Quality role within food manufacturing, • Strong knowledge of BRCGS, retailer standards and food legislation, • Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams, • Experience managing audits and customer relationships, • Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, • A proactive, resilient approach in a fast-paced environment Desirable: • Experience within seafood or chilled, short shelf-life products, • Internal Auditor qualification (BRCGS or ISO 22000), • Training in Allergen Management or Root Cause Analysis What you will receive: • Competitive salary, • Opportunity to lead within a growing, global FMCG business, • Strong career development and progression opportunities, • A collaborative, quality-focused working environment To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity, please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided or contact Maria Murphy, Principal Recruitment Consultant at Vickerstock on (phone number removed)
