We strive to make SRT a rewarding and challenging place to work, where talented, hard-working individuals have the opportunity to make a real impact across the marine industry.\n\nRole overview of our Electrical Systems Project Engineer\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Project Engineer to provide in-person and remote support to our field installation teams and subcontractors. Your role as an Electrical Systems Project Engineer will be to create, review and check electrical installation schematics and plans for a wide variety of equipment ranging from a maritime surveillance radar to a genset or CCTV security and building monitoring systems, along with hands-on electrical installation configurations.\n\nPlease note: The role of Electrical Systems Project Engineer is a role where you will travel globally for our projects, whether this is the Middle East, Far East, South East Asia, Africa's region - you will be expected to travel and live in country with an agreed rotation period up to 12 weeks in-country, 2 weeks home. \n\nResponsibilities (not exhaustive):\n \nReview and approve proposed electrical installation configurations for a variety of equipment that rely upon electrical utility and power systems \nPhysically oversee and or undertake installations with a "hands-on" approach and involvement \nTrain and coach field engineering teams to ensure high quality and consistent workmanship \nHelp build and maintain standard work procedures and standards \nReview equipment installations, identify issues and propose / rectify remedial work \nWhere relevant, deeply understand equipment installation and configuration requirements to enable correct commissioning \nEnsure all installations comply with technical standards, safety protocols, and project specifications \nConduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all integrated systems \nDocument installation procedures and generate detailed reports for project stakeholders \nHelp to devise and define long term maintenance programs that ensure systems and equipment are operate optimally and reliably \n\nRequirements\n \nESSENTIAL - Qualification: Time served apprenticeship or QBE with holding a minimum 17th Edition \nProven experience in electrical installations - for example integrated CCTV and building monitoring systems, building power systems and or communication towers \nStrong understanding of electrical standards, safety regulations, and networking fundamentals \nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, server rack layouts, and technical drawings, schematics, standards and specifications \nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail \nMobile Platforms (e.g. onboard vessels, mobile command units, aerospace) \nAppreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues \n\nThe role encompasses both our MDA System and the physical building electrical infrastructure.\n\nBenefits of the Electrical Systems Project Engineer\n \nHighly competitive salary, fantastic accommodation and flights IAW company policy \nMatched company pension contributions up to 5% \nDevelopment opportunities \n\nSRT Marine Systems plc are an equal opportunity employer.
