Sports Graduate / Coach - Pastoral & Welfare Support - Secondary School - Brent - September 2026 Start - Full-Time Are you a sports graduate or qualified coach looking to make a real difference in education? Do you want to combine your passion for sport with supporting students' wellbeing, engagement, and personal development? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Brent seeking Sports Graduates or Coaches to support pastoral and welfare roles from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your sports expertise to mentor and motivate students while contributing to their personal and academic growth. Role Overview - Sports Graduate / Coach (Pastoral & Welfare) In this role, you will support students' personal development, wellbeing, and engagement through sport and pastoral care. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering sports coaching sessions during PE lessons, enrichment programmes, and extracurricular clubs Supporting students' pastoral needs, including wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement Mentoring and motivating students to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills Assisting pastoral staff with 1:1 or small group support for students requiring additional help Promoting a positive school culture and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits Supporting the organisation of school events, sports days, and enrichment activities Acting as a positive role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, respect, and enthusiasm Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times Requirements Sports degree or relevant sports coaching qualifications (Essential) Experience working with young people in schools, sports clubs, or youth settings Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and engage students in both academic and sporting contexts Proactive, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What's on Offer A supportive and well-resourced secondary school in Brent Full-time role: Monday to Friday, term-time only Opportunity to combine sports coaching with pastoral and welfare support Hands-on experience working with students to support personal, social, and emotional development Ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development Potential for a long-term or permanent position How to Apply If you are a sports graduate or qualified coach looking to support students' wellbeing, pastoral care, and engagement in a secondary school from September 2026, we would love to hear from you.
