Our Tier 1 Legal 500-ranked Employment team in Norwich are seeking an ambitious Associate to advise leading commercial and public sector clients. The role We are looking for an employment law solicitor to join the Employment, Pensions and Immigration NSL, based in our Norwich office, working mainly for employers in the commercial sector. You will be working with the team to advise and support the full range of commercial employers from SME and mid market private sector businesses to large global organisations. You will be working with clients based regionally, nationally and internationally. You will be advising employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, as well as engaging in business development activity to promote the firm's practice in Norwich. You will also act for regional employers in our education and government sectors. The person Essential skills Given the challenges of this role, it is likely that your background and experience will include: • Being a qualified solicitor with up to 3 years PQE, • Degree (or equivalent) and A levels (or equivalent), • Clear enthusiasm for employment law with previous experience of advising on employment law, • You will possess a high level of IT skills, together with marketing and business development skills, • Excellent written English for drafting purposes Desirable skills Some previous experience of providing employment law support to corporate transactions, including drafting contracts, settlement agreements and undertaking due diligence is desirable.
