As an Azure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic and rapidly expanding team. You will design, implement, and optimise our Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless integration across the organisation. This role is crucial in supporting our ambitious transformation to a multi cloud estate, enabling modern infrastructure solutions, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud services. \n\n You’ll collaborate closely with specialists across platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Google, to deliver a robust and future-ready technology landscape. Join us to make a significant impact, drive innovation, and help shape the future of our digital infrastructure. \n\n Azure Architecture and Delivery: Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable Azure landing zones, networks, and PaaS services to support business-critical applications. \n• Networking and Security: Manage Azure networking components including Firewalls, Front Door, Application Gateway, and API Management, ensuring resilience, performance, and compliance. \n• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code: Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and GitHub, automating deployments and reducing manual effort. \n• AI-Driven Operations: Leverage AI and automation to optimise infrastructure operations, including monitoring, fault detection, and performance tuning, driving greater efficiency and reliability. \n• Implement disaster recovery strategies across Azure workloads, ensuring robust continuity planning in line with regulatory obligations. \n• Apply and enforce Azure security controls, policies, and compliance standards to meet industry and regulatory requirements. \n• Collaboration with Project Teams: Partner with delivery and application teams to provision, integrate, and optimise environments for new and existing workloads. \n• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor Azure environments, resolve complex incidents, and provide 3rd line support to maintain operational excellence. \n• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Engage with Microsoft and third-party providers, aligning services with organisational goals and future technology roadmaps. \n\n Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in networking, security, and PaaS services \n• Experience in applying AI and automation to infrastructure operations, driving efficiency and improving resilience \n• Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and share knowledge with colleagues \n• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate)\n\n Inclusion is a critical foundation of our business and people strategies and supports our vision of becoming a market-leading, digital and data-led specialty insurance business.
