The Opportunity We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist setting in Yeovil. This role involves working with pupils aged 4–18 who have a range of complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASD), physical disabilities, and communication challenges. Staff work collaboratively to provide a structured, safe, and engaging setting tailored to each child’s individual needs. The Role Support teaching and learning for pupils with complex SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis Assist with literacy, numeracy, and communication-based activities Help pupils access the curriculum using ICT and specialist equipment Support behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence skills Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required Contribute to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Requirements Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable Patient, resilient, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join Teaching Personnel?
