Job Description Job Title: Assembler Job Description Assembler is responsible for the tumbling and washing of magnets, assembling small to large pieces, and working off a set of blueprints and customer specifications. The role involves calibrating and operating magnetizing/demagnetizing equipment and presses, using calipers and other measuring equipment, and maintaining proper documentation. Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are essential. Responsibilities • Tumble and wash magnets., • Assemble small to large pieces according to blueprints and customer specifications., • Calibrate and operate magnetizing/demagnetizing equipment and presses., • Utilize calipers and other measuring tools for precise measurements., • Maintain accurate documentation of work processes., • Experience with small parts and assembly., • Mechanical aptitude., • Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers., • Prefer candidates who enjoy working on automotive vehicles., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work Environment The work environment includes a production setting, primarily working alone in a climate-controlled area. Employees may be exposed to excessive noise, industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesives, and other chemicals, with all necessary safety precautions in place. Ear protection is available. The position offers flexible shifts: 1st shift from 5:30 am to 3 pm Monday-Thursday and 5:30-9:30 am on Fridays, and 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 12:15 am Monday-Thursday and 3 pm to 7 pm on Fridays, with potential for additional hours if required. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.90/hr.
