Plaintiff-Side Employment Attorney – California (Remote) About the Role We are a growing plaintiff-side employment law practice seeking an attorney to join our team and litigate wrongful termination, harassment, and wage and hour claims on behalf of California workers. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located anywhere in California. In-person appearances are rare but may occasionally be required for hearings or other proceedings. Responsibilities • Manage an assigned caseload from acquisition through settlement or trial, with full ownership of each matter, • Review incoming leads and evaluate case viability, applying sound legal judgment to intake decisions, • Interface directly with clients throughout the life of each case, providing guidance and maintaining strong relationships, • Litigate wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour claims in state and federal court, • Handle all aspects of case development including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and negotiations, • Lead and supervise a dedicated admin team on each file, including case managers and support staff — providing direction, oversight, and day-to-day guidance, • Active California State Bar membership in good standing, • Plaintiff-side employment law experience preferred; exceptional self-starters without employment law experience encouraged to apply, • Preferred - working knowledge of FEHA, Title VII, Labor Code wage and hour provisions, and related California employment law, • Comfortable supervising and mentoring non-attorney staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Ability to independently manage a caseload with minimal oversight, • Excellent written and oral communication skills, • Base salary: $100,000 – $140,000, commensurate with experience, • Performance bonus based on collected fees, • Health insurance, • Monthly stipend covering phone, internet, and technology expenses Send your resume and a brief cover letter describing your background and interest in plaintiff-side employment law to [insert email].
