About the Role: As the Supervisor of Aviation Stores & Logistics, you are a results-driven leader with extensive experience managing aviation inventory and materials operations across both hangar-based line maintenance environments and centralized warehouse facilities in fast-paced, high-reliability operations. You oversee stores personnel, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and regulatory compliance while directly supporting maintenance teams to minimize AOG events and ensure continuous aircraft readiness. You provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight across multiple locations, requiring regular travel between hangars and warehouse facilities to ensure standardized processes, accurate inventory management, and consistent adherence to regulatory and company requirements. You have a proven track record of rebuilding and optimizing inventory programs, improving parts visibility and accountability, and implementing uniform procedures across geographically dispersed stations. You are highly skilled in demand forecasting, min/max inventory management, inter-station material transfers, and cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality, and senior leadership teams. Known for your practical leadership style and commitment to team development, you excel at driving operational discipline under constrained staffing and high operational pressure, with a strong focus on safety, traceability, cost control, and continuous process improvement. A Day in the Life: Your day will be dynamic and detail-oriented, leading the team and ensuring materials and logistics run seamlessly to support operations: • Review Inventory & Operational Status: Begin each day by reviewing inventory levels, open AOGs, backorders, inbound shipments, and inter-station transfers across assigned hangars and warehouse locations., • Support Maintenance Priorities: Communicate with Maintenance and Production teams to prioritize parts support for scheduled maintenance, unscheduled events, and aircraft-on-ground situations., • Oversee Multi-Location Operations: Travel between hangar and warehouse facilities as needed to ensure proper staffing coverage, workflow efficiency, and adherence to standardized processes., • Supervise Daily Stores Functions: Oversee all receiving, inspection routing, stocking, picking, staging, shipping, and core return activities., • Ensure Inventory Accuracy & Traceability: Verify accurate inventory transactions and maintain full parts traceability within inventory management systems from receipt through issue., • Manage Inventory Levels & Distribution: Monitor min/max levels and usage trends; initiate replenishment requests and coordinate redistribution of stock to prevent shortages and excess inventory., • Provide Hands-On Leadership: Support and supervise stores personnel by answering operational questions, resolving issues, and reinforcing accountability and procedural compliance., • Conduct Audits & Cycle Counts: Perform spot checks, cycle counts, and audits to validate physical inventory accuracy and correct discrepancies., • Coordinate Cross-Functional Resolution: Partner with Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve discrepancies, damaged shipments, hazmat requirements, and documentation issues., • Oversee Shipping & Packaging Compliance: Ensure proper packaging and shipment of parts and tooling in compliance with hazmat, airworthiness, and carrier requirements., • Manage Escalations & Urgent Needs: Address escalations related to missing parts, incorrect transactions, backorders, and urgent operational demands., • Track Issues & Report Performance: Document issues, trends, and improvement opportunities; provide leadership with updates on risks, constraints, and operational performance., • No Two Days Are the Same: Work in a dynamic environment where your expertise ensures the reliability of every JSX flight., • Be Part of a Team That Values You: Join a tight-knit, supportive team of professionals who are passionate about aviation and committed to safety and excellence., • Make a Tangible Impact: Your attention to detail and technical expertise directly contribute to flight safety and an exceptional Customer experience. We’re looking for someone who is: • Proactive: You anticipate needs, take initiative, and solve problems after they arise., • Adaptable: You thrive in dynamic environments, adjusting quickly to changing priorities, weather, and operational needs., • Collaborative: You work well across departments, valuing communication and teamwork to achieve common goals., • Organized: You manage your time and priorities effectively, keeping projects on track and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks., • Detail-Oriented: You understand that precision matters – especially when it comes to aircraft performance., • High school diploma/GED, • 5+ years of experience in aviation logistics, materials, stores, or supply chain operations within a Part 135, Part 121, MRO, or military aviation environment, • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience, overseeing stores, logistics, or inventory personnel across hangar and/or warehouse operations., • Experience leading process improvements, standardizing procedures, and implementing corrective actions, • Experience in training, mentoring, and holding staff accountable in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment, • Experience managing inventory accuracy, min/max levels, and demand forecasting to reduce shortages and excess stock, • Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements related to material handling, traceability, and airworthiness documentation, • Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping, packaging standards, and carrier requirements, • Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds, • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing., • A current and valid Driver’s license is required., • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), • OSHA safety training certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), • Hazmat and Dangerous Goods Materials training certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Compensation is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.
