Job DescriptionTIG Welder Phoenix, AZ | 1st Shift | High-Precision Welding Projects If you’re a stainless‑steel TIG expert who takes pride in clean beads, perfect alignment, and rock‑solid leadership on the shop floor, this is the role where your craftsmanship truly matters. We’re searching for a Foreman who isn’t just a welder — but a builder, a problem‑solver, and someone who can guide a team while still laying down world‑class welds. In this position, every project brings something new. You’ll handle everything from high‑purity stainless systems to heavy‑wall schedule piping, working in a state‑of‑the‑art shop that values precision, safety, and professional growth. What You’ll Do • Perform high‑precision butt welds on stainless steel pipe (Schedule 10–160), including bevel prep, cleaning, and GTAW welding with full penetration., • Execute open‑root welds on stainless Schedule 80 pipe — no backing rings, no shortcuts, just pure technique., • Utilize TIG (200+ AMP), Flux Core, and MIG processes depending on project needs., • Lead by example: set pace, uphold quality, mentor welders, and maintain a safe, sharp work environment., • Work directly from blueprints, isometrics, welding symbols, and complex technical drawings., • Oversee purge welding setups to eliminate oxidation and guarantee flawless interior quality., • Balance shop and field work, adapting quickly to changing job needs and environments.What You Bring to the Table, • 3–5+ years of hands-on TIG welding experience in stainless steel process piping and 6G work., • Complete confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and weld symbols., • Strong awareness of metallurgical behavior in stainless steel and related alloys., • Steady hands, sharp eyes for detail, and the skill to weld consistently in any position., • A commitment to safety — yours, your team’s, and the shop’s.Bonus Points If You Have…, • A 6G welding certification — the gold standard of welding skill., • Experience welding 2-inch Schedule 80 pipe, especially in high‑pressure systems., • Strong Experience in back‑purge setups and contamination prevention.Why You’ll Love Working Here, • You won’t be stuck doing the same weld all day — every project brings a new challenge., • Split your time between a brand‑new, clean Phoenix shop and engaging field assignments., • Enjoy consistent overtime (10–20 hours/week) with minimal weekend work., • Be part of a team that takes pride in quality workmanship and values its welders., • Competitive pay with long-term stability and room to grow.Schedule & Work Environment, • 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, • Five 10-hour shifts (weekends rarely needed), • Minimum: 50 hours/week, • Required PPE: Steel‑toe boots, welding hood Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
