Job Description Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician Job Description • The Automation Maintenance Technician monitors and supports automated coating and paint cells operated by industrial robots, • Monitor automated coating and paint cells operated by robotic equipment to ensure consistent and reliable production, • Identify faults and issues within paint paths on robots and take corrective action to restore proper operation, • Observe and track variations within coating hubs and equipment performance, escalating issues when necessary, • Navigate PLC interfaces, particularly Allen-Bradley platforms such as ControlLogix/Logix 5000, to troubleshoot automated equipment functions without performing programming, • Perform industrial and preventive maintenance tasks on automation equipment, including robotic paint systems and related electrical and control components, • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to automation, control systems, and robotic equipment, • Support maintenance and service activities for plating and coating equipment to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards, • Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to communicate equipment status, share findings, and coordinate repair efforts, • Document maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and equipment issues to support continuous improvement and reliability, • At least 2 years of experience in robotics and automation maintenance, preferably in a plating or similar industrial environment, • Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance and preventive maintenance on automated equipment, • Ability to monitor paint paths on robots and accurately identify faults within robotic paint processes, • Ability to navigate PLC systems, with experience using Allen-Bradley PLCs and Logix 5000 platforms for troubleshooting (no programming required), • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting to diagnose issues within automated equipment and control systems, • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills related to automation, control, and robotic systems, • Experience working with robotic paint systems, coating processes, or plating operations, • High attention to detail when monitoring variations within coating hubs and automated equipment performance Company Benefits Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
