Position Summary: Burma Superstar Oakland is searching for a dynamic SHIFT LEAD who will be responsible for supervising the Front-of-House (FOH) team during designated shifts to ensure smooth service, exceptional guest experiences and efficient operations. This leadership role involves hands-on-support, effective communication, and a strong presence on the floor to uphold the restaurants service standards and brand values. The ideal candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanor with customers, as well as effectively making use of downtown. Job Duties: • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, • Attend and participate in necessary department meetings as required, • Ensure that all systems and routines are incorporated into day-to-day operations of the restaurant, • Exercise good judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, • Oversee daily Front-of-House (FOH) operations during scheduled shifts, • Lead and motivate bartenders, servers, bussers and host to perform at their best, • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate shift priorities, • Ensure guest satisfaction through table visits and real-time support, • Monitor dining room flow and manage seating reservations systems, • Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally, • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar times to ensure timely service, • Enforce health, safety and cleanliness standards in the restaurant, • Assist is onboarding, training and coaching of Front-of-House (FOH) staff when needed, • Manage timekeeping, break and shift changeovers accurately, • Minimum 3 + years of bartender/server experience and 2 + years of lead, • Team player with positive attitude, • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, • Knowledge of POS systems and reservation platforms (e.g; Doordash, TOAST, Opentable, Yelp....), • Ability to stand, lift and carry up to 30 + pounds, • Strong knowledge of the menu, • Opportunity to be a part of a growing and passionate company and team, • Unique opportunity to bridge cultures through food, • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision. 401(k), • Family meals provided, • Employee referral program Burma Food Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics and other protected classes.
