Job Description * JOB DESCRIPTION The Bartenders main responsibility is to focus on the “Guest Centric” service model of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. They are required to be engaged throughout the ordering process, payment transaction, and building of guest beverages. Bartenders play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment and guests have a great experience. They also play a crucial role in ensuring the store stays compliant to all the laws governing the sales and service of alcoholic beverages. BASIC JOB TASKS • Greet EVERY guest entering the establishment in a timely manner, with a warm, friendly and inviting demeanor, • Correctly take orders using the appropriate POS systems, • Receive payment by cash, credit cards, Rewards app, gift card or management specified vouchers, • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to guests, • Issue and redeem gift cards, coupons or other promotional incentives, • Maintain the organization and stocking of products, and cleanliness of the Front of the House in its entirety, • Ensure all bar drinks are made promptly, efficiently, and accurately, • Provide great bar service to all bar-seated guests, upselling appetizers and other menu items, and following up with any service needs., • Manage tabs and bar safety for all guests, • Manage correct supply of batches, backups, garnishes, and stocked inventory, • Ensure a front of house atmosphere that aligns with Fuzzy’s Values and Purpose REPORTS TO • Owners/Operating Partners, General Manager, and other members of the Management Team REQUIREMENTS Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends Certifications: State required alcohol service certifications (TABC Certified) Age: The minimum age requirements for this role is 21years QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a bartender or similar role in a restaurant is preferred but not required LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and speak English to understand guest checks, instructions, warning and safety labels and communicate with others. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Successfully complete Fuzzy’s Taco Shop training course work as assigned. Understanding hygiene and food safety rules, physical stamina to carry trays or plates and the ability to stand for long hours. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly is required to stand, walk and talk or hear. The Team Member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The Team Member occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
