Job DescriptionNow Hiring: Group Home ManagerPosition Summary We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for managing the home, coordinating resident activities, supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and ensuring a safe, supportive, and respectful living environment. The Group Home Manager plays a critical leadership role, with a strong emphasis on protecting resident rights, dignity, and independence while promoting community integration and high-quality care. Supervisory Responsibilities • Directly supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), • Responsible for hiring, input, training, scheduling, performance management, and staff development, • Reports to the Assistant Director and Director of Residential Services, • May be required to cover shifts based on operational needsKey Responsibilities, • Supervise and support DSPs to ensure quality physical, behavioral, and functional care for residents, • Schedule staff to ensure full coverage of all shifts, • Provide direct care and support to residents as needed, • Train staff on mandated standards, policies, emergency procedures, medication administration, and behavioral supports, • Create and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and homelike environment, • Promote social integration and community involvement for residents, • Ensure resident privacy, dignity, and adherence to house rules, • Plan nutritious meals, purchase groceries and supplies, and oversee household operations, • Coordinate medical appointments, transportation, and emergency care when needed, • Maintain resident financial records, house accounts, and monthly documentation, • Conduct house meetings, staff meetings, emergency drills, and required reporting, • Manage incident reporting, compliance documentation, and regulatory communication, • Oversee basic fiscal management, receipts, and budget variance reporting, • Monitor facility maintenance needs and vehicle upkeep, • Collect and submit programmatic data and reports as required, • Attend required in-service trainings and community engagement initiatives, • Perform other duties as assigned by leadershipKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities, • Strong leadership, supervision, and organizational skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines, • Professional, respectful demeanor with staff, residents, and families, • Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills, • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software, • Ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritiesEducation & Experience Requirements, • High School Diploma or GED required, • Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Health Care, Human Development, or related field preferred, • Minimum 1 year of experience in residential services, case management, behavioral support, or related human services, • Supervisory experience preferred, • Equivalent work and life experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, • Ability to pass a Level II background screening, • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and FDOT certification eligibilityPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions, • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, lift, and assist residents as needed, • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, • Ability to assist with daily living activities such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and personal support, • Combination of office-based work and an active residential environmentWhy Join Us?, • Meaningful work supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, • Leadership role with real impact, • Mission-driven organization committed to dignity, respect, and inclusion
