Job Description The ESE Teacher is responsible for delivering specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities to ensure access to rigorous grade-level curriculum and meaningful progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Reporting to the principal or campus administrator, the ESE Teacher implements IEP accommodations, modifications, and services while collaborating with general education teachers, service providers, and families to support student success. This role requires a student-centered educator who is skilled in differentiated instruction, progress monitoring, and inclusive classroom practices. The ESE Teacher maintains compliance with all federal, state, and district ESE requirements while ensuring students receive the instructional and behavioral supports necessary to succeed academically and socially. Key Activities Instruction • Provide specialized instruction through small group and individualized support, • Implement IEP accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies, • Use formative and summative assessment data tomonitorstudent progress, • Deliver targeted interventions aligned to student learning goals, • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive instructional practices IEP Implementation & Compliance • Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and service minutes with fidelity, • Collect andmaintainprogress monitoring data for IEP goals, • Prepare documentation and data for IEP meetings, • Ensure instructional services align with student IEP requirements, • Collaborate with school leadership tomaintaincompliance with federal andstateregulations Classroom Culture • Establish andmaintainconsistent classroom routines, • Implement schoolwide behavior systems with fidelity, • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Student & Family Support • Maintain regular communication with familiesregardingstudent progress, • Support student development through academic and behavioral interventions, • Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed, • Collaborate withteachers andrelated service providers (speech, OT, counseling, etc.) to support student needs Professional Responsibilities • Attend and activelyparticipatein meetings, PD, coaching sessions, andESEtrainings, • Submit lesson plans, data reports, and compliance documentation on time, • Uphold all school policies, procedures, and professional expectations Mission Provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support that ensures students with disabilities access rigorous learning opportunities, make measurable academic progress, and develop the skills necessary for long-term success.
