PSC Construction is seeking a Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team. Job Description: Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing underground utility construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities • Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects, • Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients, • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and cost controls, • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability, • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted work, • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, • Conduct job site visits and participate in safety meetings and inspections, • Prepare and submit project reports, change orders, and billing documentation, • Resolve project issues, conflicts, and delays proactively Requirements: • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and schedules, • Knowledge of excavation, trenching, shoring, and utility installation practices, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, • No criminal misdemeanors in the last 5 years or criminal felonies in the last 7 years, • Proficiency with project management software (ex: Bluebeam/Monday) and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required, • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification, • Proficient in Bluebeam and civil construction markup drawings, • Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, loose soil, or sloped terrain, • Climb ladders, scaffolding, and permanent/temporary stairs to inspect structures, • Crouching, crawling, or kneeling to access tight or confined inspection areas, • Ability to walk along narrow paths or elevated structures. Ability to or carry objects (blueprints, tools, or small equipment) weighing between 15 to 50 pounds. • Periods of standing or walking, • Requires close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus quickly., • Ability to identify color-coded utility markings or detailed site plans., • Must be able to hear in moderate to high-noise environments, • Ability to tolerate extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind, • Tolerance for environments with dust, fumes, loud noises, and vibration near heavy moving equipment, • Sitting doing computer-based project management, • Fine motor skills are needed for typing, operating specialized software, and handling delicate survey instruments, • Must be physically capable of wearing a hard hat, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vests, safety glasses, and hearing protection Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000 (based on experience) Compensation & Benefits • Competitive pay with overtime opportunities, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Retirement plan / 401(k), • Paid time off and holidays, • Stable, year-round work, • Opportunity for advancement At PSC Construction, we value our employees and provide a positive work environment where you can grow and succeed.
