Job Description IPS - Rubbercraft (RCC) is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician - Industrial (1st Shift) who keeps the production equipment running efficiently at the optimum condition through Preventative Maintenance program and continues equipment monitoring and improvement, as well as directing and advising maintenance technicians to perform different maintenance tasks to the best quality possible. Job Responsibilities: * Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities. * Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems on production equipment. * Maintain and repair facility systems, including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, and boilers. * Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all maintenance activities, including PMs, corrective work orders (CMs), and work reports. * Develop and document PM procedures for existing and new equipment; train operators on routine inspections and basic maintenance. * Lead EHS activities such as safety reporting, 5S participation, and safety observations; ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. * Collaborate with external contractors to complete maintenance projects. * Support spare parts identification, purchasing, and inventory management in coordination with the maintenance planner. * Maintain a safe and organized work environment and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Contribute to and lead initiatives such as Predictive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Reliability-Driven Maintenance programs. * Provide technical direction and mentorship to other maintenance technicians. * Lead and participate in equipment improvement and development projects. * Communicate job status, progress, and delays to management in a timely and professional manner. * Maintain consistent and reliable attendance; may be required to work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as needed. Job Qualifications: Education: * Certificate, diploma, or associate degree from a trade or technical school in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Certifications in electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC are highly preferred. Experience: * Minimum of 5-7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. * Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems required. Skills: * Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. * Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems (e.g., bearings, gearboxes, motors, drive belts, etc.). * Hands-on experience with electrical circuits including 480V, 240V, 208V, 120V, and 277V, as well as AC and DC control systems. * Familiarity with control system components (e.g., sensors, photo cells, timers, PLC modules). * Experience operating forklifts and other powered equipment. * Intermediate computer skills, including Word, Excel, PDF, and CMMS software. * Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to provide feedback to various levels of management. * Demonstrated leadership ability to direct and coach other technicians. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
