EOE POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator is responsible for the providing oversight, coordination and organization of activities appropriate for participants physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. The Program Coordinator will assist in providing direct support to the Program Director and Assistant Program Director is responsible in assisting in providing quality programming for the needs of the participants that UAU serves within the community. The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight assistance with staff. EOE PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): · Provide supervision to both staff and participants to ensure safety and ratio protocols are meet. · Maintain participant files and records and assist with data entry, as directed and required per DYCD · Maintain accurate attendance records on a daily basis as directed and required per DYCD · Assist with participant arrival and dismissal, as needed · Communication with participants and families as required · Model, enforce, teach and develop age appropriate social, physical and emotional behaviors · Lead and/or assist in development and implementation of outreach and deliverable programs to engage potential participants and families within the community. · Create and facilitate a safe, fun and visually appealing productive learning environment for youth · Model, enforce, teach and develop age appropriate social, physical and emotional behaviors · Employ positive behavior management strategies for disruptive and negative behaviors · Demonstrate positive leadership and act as a positive role model to participants · Participate in ongoing professional development · Perform set up and clean up duties every day in alignment with Department of Health regulations and UAU policies · Abide by all safety protocols as outlined by the Department of Health/ OCFS, DYCD and UAU · Assume the responsibilities of the Program Director and or Assistant Program Director in their absence · Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS: ● Associates Degree preferred, High School diploma or GED (Highschool Equivalency Diploma), required ● Matriculated college student or better from an accredited university or college, preferred ● 1+ year experience working with children and at risk youth, ages 13 to 18 years of age, preferred ● Must have a valid drivers license. ● Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based perspective ● Must be culturally competent - ability to understand, be sensitive to the needs of, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures, at risk youth and a variety of age ranges ● Must pass reference checks and background as designated by DOH, DYCD and UAU ● Strong verbal and written communication skills ● Strong problem solving and mathematical skills ● Excellent organizational and time management skills ● Demonstrated ability to conduct and complete work independently ● Willing to take initiative and be flexible when needed ● Excels working in a collaborative environment to achieve target objects and outcomes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Supporting Attendance Tracking: • Assist with daily attendance processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting as directed by the BOM., • Ensure arrival is set up each day (i.e.: stanchions, CAASS machines in place)., • Support at arrival by monitoring our CAASS scholar attendance scan-in system and escalating issues as needed. Assisting with Technology, Supply, and Inventory Management: • Check supply levels in the Teacher Work Room (TWR) daily and restock essential items (e.g., paper, pens, markers, snacks) to ensure teachers have the materials needed., • Carry and deliver scholar snacks throughout the school building as scheduled., • Monitor and document inventory levels regularly, noting when supplies are running low and informing the BOM to reorder as needed., • Respond promptly to teacher requests for specific supplies, • Troubleshoot basic scholar Chromebook issues and understand the system for distributing new technology, escalating more complex issues to the BOM or IT support. Facilities Support: • Conduct routine facility checks of the school building as directed by the BOM. (Building Operations Manager), • Ensure rapid acknowledgment of facilities slackbot issues and escalate them to the appropriate personnel (BOM or facilities team) according to established protocols., • Walk through hallways, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and free of hazards. General Support During Arrival & Dismissal: • Serve as extra support by being present and observant during arrival and dismissal times, while adhering to the guideline of not assuming any leadership and/or scholar management responsibilities., • Aid in recording tardy arrivals or early dismissals, ensuring that accurate records are kept and communicating any issues to the BOM., • Direct students, families, and staff to designated areas, helping manage foot traffic to keep arrival and dismissal processes efficient.
