In addition, component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, and leak checks are all within the responsibility of the avionics technician. The avionics technician is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Ensure that all repairs are accomplished by approved methods and techniques and in accordance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in the service manuals, the Federal Aviation Regulations, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives and other data approved by the FAA administrator., • Responsible for following the coordinated activities of their shop or area, so as to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency., • Ensure that all work accomplished will be completed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance and repair instructions and TITLE 14 CFR part 43., • Exercise all reasonable care to protect all parts-sub assembles; major assembles and completed units against loss or damage., • Ensure that all applicable repair station forms utilized are properly completed., • Ensure good housekeeping rules are observed and that all shop-working areas are kept clean and orderly at all times., • Ensure that proper tools and equipment are available and those tools are maintained in serviceable condition and ensure that any tool which is found unserviceable for any reason will be removed from service. Job Description Now Hiring Maintenance Manager in Irving, TX. Join our team today. Shift: TBD Pay $52-$60K Medical, Dental, AD &D Job Purpose: MaintenanceManagerwill superviseand assignthe work ofmaintenanceemployees in the generalmaintenanceand upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Supervise the day-to-day activities of themaintenanceemployees. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of all work areas. Ensure products are placed in the proper receptacles. Ensure dock areas, outside dock areas, aisles, break areas, bathrooms and shipping offices are organized, clean, free of debris, and in good working condition., • Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfer equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary., • Make periodic inspections of assigned facilities to determine condition; diagnose problems and initiate necessary actions., • Plan and schedule routinemaintenance. Establish work priorities., • Maintain equipment and materials; perform complex repair andmaintenancetasks., • Supervise staff of skilled and semi-skilled workers inmaintenancesuch as, painting, carpentry, plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, electrical and related systems., • Inspect work for completeness., • Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: • Eighteen months of education and training beyond high school level in generalmaintenanceand repair, or a closely related area., • Two years experience in generalmaintenanceor othermaintenanceresponsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures. Education and/or Experience: • 2 years technical school and 3 years’ experience in closely related field work., • Strong English skills, reading, written and verbal Computer Skills: • Experience in Microsoft Windows and Office software Reasoning Ability: • Must be able to interact with all levels of management. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce., • Ability to make independent decisions as needed., • Solve problems with little direction, • Demonstrate ability to examine the logical relationships between conclusions and their supporting assertions., • Must be able to draw conclusions from facts and evidence.
