Job DescriptionJob Description The Senior PM provides overall leadership and direction on the construction project. The Senior PM participates in negotiating the Owner contract, is the main contact for the Project for issues concerning budget, billing and client satisfaction, and ensures the fiscal success of the project. Responsibilities • Provides leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of assigned construction projects, • Participates extensively in acquiring and defining projects and develops budgets that will achieve profitability objectives, while taking into account project specific challenges., • Sets appropriate milestones, hires, and assigns staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project., • Work closely with clients, owners, architects and subcontractors to develop relationships that exceed client expectations and fulfill all Construction’s standards., • Provides oversight in managing all necessary resources throughout the entire project from start-up through closeout to ensure that the Owner’s expectations, budget and schedule requirements, and profitability objectives are exceeded. This involves:, • Oversight of projects at a high level from beginning to end including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan., • Ensure that the day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to other team members including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers and Superintendents from Preconstruction when work commences in the field., • Mentor, train and coach staff to perform to or exceed Construction standards., • Represent our client to the Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors., • Project Acquisition, • Listen and understand owner requirements and project needs, to illustrate how our clients capabilities align with the client’s desires and help close potential deals., • Review projects for unique challenges that will impact budget/profitability objectives utilizing Litmus Test., • Project Start Up/Turnover/Pre-Construction, • Work with Project Executive to assign appropriate Project Management Staff., • Review and approve the pre-mobilization activities., • Ensure Turnover meeting occurs between Preconstruction and Operation teams., • Project Management, Quality Review and Project Close-Out; responsible for ensuring that Projects achieve budget and profitability objectives. This includes:, • Monitor and evaluate Project Management staff and Superintendent staff assignments., • Accurately forecast project performance., • Maintain a high level of visibility on the project site regularly to monitor project performance, schedule, and expenditures with project staff, highlight potential challenges and provide leadership in responding creatively to bring projects in on schedule and under budget., • Client Relationships and Meeting Management, • Attend all scheduled meetings necessary to monitor and manage project profitability., • Attend owner and project meetings, maintain continuous client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to Project Team., • Ensure Project Management staff is trained according to Martin Harris Construction guidelines. Job DescriptionPosition Overview We are looking for an experienced VDC Project Manager to lead Building Information Modeling (BIM) and coordination efforts on complex construction projects. This position requires strong technical skills in virtual design, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, solves problems with creativity, and ensures efficient, high-quality project execution through digital coordination. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, field, and fabrication teams to gather critical information at project start-up. * Guide and mentor staff on trade-specific practices, BIM processes, and digital coordination standards to ensure consistency and accuracy. * Interpret plans, specifications, and submittals to support effective system design and layout. * Lead coordination for one or more projects, managing timelines, resolving conflicts, and ensuring adherence to contract requirements. * Develop 3D layouts for trade systems and oversee team workflows to maintain project schedules. * Generate and track RFIs, providing timely updates to project management and stakeholders. * Review BIM/VDC models for compliance, constructability, and efficiency, while ensuring systems are clash-free and hanger placement is properly coordinated. * Facilitate and run coordination meetings using NAVISWORKS, driving daily clash detection and resolution efforts. * Monitor progress of other trades, identify risks or delays, and communicate issues to project leadership. * Manage fabrication drawing reviews, ensuring accuracy before release to the shop. * Document and report weekly trade progress, system revisions, and changes in scope. * Ensure compliance with CPMI planning and support superintendents and project managers with timely updates. * Provide technical support during project delivery and act as a liaison between office, field, and external partners. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 7+ years of experience in VDC/BIM or related construction management roles. * Proficiency with BIM coordination tools (e.g., NAVISWORKS, Revit, AutoCAD) and knowledge of digital construction workflows. * Ability to make independent decisions on complex issues while applying broad knowledge of industry practices. * Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to train and develop team members. * Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proven success in leading multi-disciplinary coordination efforts.
