This role bridges business requirements, RF & IP network engineering, and commercial execution, translating customer needs into scalable, secure, and cost‑effective wireless systems. The Solutions Architect works closely with sales, product, engineering, operations, and OEM partners to ensure solutions are technically sound, field‑deployable, and aligned with commercial and operational objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Solution Design & Architecture • Design end‑to‑end fixed wireless and private LTE/5G network architectures, including RAN, transport, core, edge compute, and OSS/BSS integration, • Develop reference architectures for common use cases (enterprise campus, industrial sites, rural FWA, utilities, ports, logistics, smart cities), • Perform RF and capacity planning at a high level (coverage models, spectrum strategy, link budgets, sectorization), • Determine IP network topology and backhaul connectivity including selecting a variety of technologies across fiber, microwave or mesh networks, • Define security, resiliency, and QoS requirements aligned with customer SLAsPre‑Sales & Customer Engagement, • Act as the technical lead in customer engagements, discovery sessions, and solution workshops, • Translate business and operational requirements into technical designs and deployment approaches, • Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and technical presentations, • Provide cost drivers, trade‑off analysis, and ROM estimates to support commercial decision‑makingOEM & Ecosystem Integration, • Evaluate and select OEMs and technology partners (RAN, core, CPE, antennas, transport, edge), • Define interoperability and integration requirements across multi‑vendor solutions, • Maintain working knowledge of leading private wireless and FWA vendors and roadmapsDeployment & Field Readiness, • Ensure designs are deployment‑ready, including site typologies, hardware configurations, and installation requirements, • Collaborate with deployment and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff from design to build, • Support pilot deployments, trials, and initial customer turn‑ups as neededDocumentation & Enablement, • Produce solution documentation including architecture diagrams, BOMs, and design standards, • Contribute to internal playbooks, reference designs, and sales enablement materials, • Train sales and delivery teams on solution capabilities and constraints Qualifications Seniority Expectations • Recognized subject-matter expert in fixed and/or private wireless solutions, • Owns architectural decisions for complex, high-value, or non-standard deployments, • Mentors junior engineers and contribution sources; reviews and approves solution designs, • Influences product roadmap, vendor strategy, and deployment standards, • Operates with minimal oversight; trusted advisor to executive stakeholdersTechnical, • Strong understanding of LTE and 5G (NSA/SA) architectures, including RAN, core, and spectrum considerations, • Experience with private wireless networks and/or fixed wireless access solutions, • Knowledge of RF fundamentals, propagation, and site design concepts, • Familiarity with transport technologies (fiber, microwave, Ethernet, IP), • Understanding of enterprise networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, security), • Experience in RAN solutions for both outdoor and indoor environments, • Experience producing high‑level designs, BOMs, and ROM cost estimatesProfessional, • 7+ years of experience in wireless networking, telecom, or enterprise infrastructure, with demonstrated leadership in engineering consulting roles, • Experience in solutions architecture, network design, and technical pre‑sales roles, • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences, • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally across sales, engineering, and operations in sourcing, scoping and delivery, • Project management experience leading large scale network deployments, • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and defining structure where none exists, • Experience interacting with customers, • Ability to travel for client meetings and travel to the field, when needed Preferred Qualifications • Hands‑on experience with private LTE/5G deployments or large‑scale FWA networks, • Experience with CBRS or other shared/licensed spectrum models, • Familiarity with industrial IoT, OT environments, or mission‑critical communications, • Vendor certifications or direct experience with leading private wireless OEMs, • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred) Success Metrics • Quality, scalability, and deployability of solution designs, • Win rate and customer satisfaction on supported deals, • Time‑to‑deploy and reduction of rework between design and field execution, • Adoption of reference architectures and standards across the organization Working Style • Strategic thinker with strong execution bias, • Customer‑centric and commercially aware of competing solutions, • Detail‑oriented while able to maintain a system‑level view, • Comfortable balancing innovation with operational practicality Pay Range in the United States: $120K - $180K based upon geography, skills, and experience.
