Job DescriptionDescription: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION Description: Assists pharmacist in processing physician orders for medications by entering information into various medication management systems in an unverified status; maintains professional work habits by organizing workload, setting priorities, utilizing resources appropriately, completing assignments in a timely manner and adapts well to change. Medication Review is registered with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy, providing remote order entry services for acute care hospitals; we do not have any medication on site. We do not sell, trade or distribute legend, controlled or over the counter medication from this location. Typical Work Duties (not limited to): • Files and retrieves various pharmacy records as required and / or requested by the pharmacist, • Work independently - Responds to questions not requiring a pharmacists’ professional judgment, • Assures any credit and billing tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner, • Attends to customers/nonprofessional calls in a courteous and timely manner, • Serves as liaison between the client and pharmacist, • Recognizes departures from the norm and discusses with pharmacist, • Orders medication/aids in inventory maintenance at remote facilities, • Assists with automated dispensing device inventory verification, • Performs various and basic computer functions / database management, • Retrieves specific clerical and other patient information from patient profile as directed by the pharmacist, • Calling facilities and relaying message left on scan to HUC/NS, • Pharmacists--please leave as much information as possible so that the tech can read the deficiency to the nurse and it can be easily understood., • Follow up on call to facility if no response after a reasonable amount of time (~ 2 hours), • Inform in-house pharmacists of deficiencies for their facility if they remain in the queue for an extended period of time, • Call facilities to obtain and enter height, weight, allergies and other non-clinical patient data, • Transfer call to pharmacist if contact available to provide clinical data (dosing, frequency, interactions, etc.), • Transfer call to the pharmacist who marked the order deficient for consistency (if possible), • Each morning the techs will create a dummy scan with the location of "DEMO" and mark it STAT, • Technicians will check the Clinical Monitoring Spreadsheet for daily lab orders, • Labs that are to be drawn will be listed along with patient name and ID# and the approximate time the lab is ordered, • As the results are provided, the pharmacist will cross off the patient name on the scan and enter the results into the spreadsheet Requirements: Ability and Requirements: Ability to understand oral and written directions from registered pharmacists, organize and perform work effectively and accurately, operate computers, word processors, understand medical terminology, conceptualize, and communicate improvement in functioning pharmacy procedures. Personal cell phone use for 2 step authentications, as well as an emergency system failure situation as needed. Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician License, in good standing. Job Summary The Street Outreach Specialist will work closely with Spokane Police Department, (SPD) Code Enforcement (HOT), Spokane Fire Department (SFD), and Community Housing and Human Services (CHHS) in the City of Spokane to assist with outreach to homeless individuals and encampments in the community. This may include volunteer or internship time (with additional education, this amount of time may vary), • Detail oriented and attention to detail, • Self-starter & team player, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure, • Ability and willingness to keep information confidential, • Be at least 21 years of age, • Able to successfully pass a DCYF and Salvation Army criminal background check, • Possess a valid driver’s license, • Knowledgeable in the areas of client safety assessment and planning, problem-solving, and crisis intervention, • Capable of obtaining within 30 days of employment: CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, HIV/Aids, Mandated Reporter, Fleet Driver, and Child Safety trainings, • Able to produce a recent negative TB test, • Capable of visual and auditory supervision of children and adults, • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Willing to complete 20 hours of documented training in the areas designated by DCYF for visitation staff, • Ability to use a multi-purpose copy machine, • Ability to use multi-line phones, • Ability to use a desk-top computer and/or laptop, • Supervise or monitor visitation services at The Salvation Army between DCFS referred children and their parents/relatives or siblings and private/civil cases, • Monitor for appropriate interactions and intervene when necessary, • Be capable of deescalating situations with visitors who are or become disgruntled or aggressive, • Carefully document each visitation using the required forms (database) and communication with all parties, • Process all paperwork in the required time frames, • Be capable of performing basic clerical duties including filing, typing, copying, faxing, and making phone calls, • Communicate effectively with department staff, agency staff, and outside agencies as needed, • Drive or ride-a-long to transport children to and from visitations, • Report all safety concerns, • Function as a team member, • Provide direct care to children as needed including toileting, diaper changing, feeding, redirection, etc., • Responsible for set up and upkeep of visitation spaces as needed, • Maintain positive interactions with clients, • Attend required trainings and staff meetings, • Maintain a safe and secure environment for children and families, • Maintain strict confidentiality, • Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis, • Grasp/push/pull files, file cabinet drawers, automobile doors, and reach overhead, • Operate a telephone, • Operate a desktop/laptop computer, • Access and produce information from a computer, • Understand written information BENEFITS: A generous benefits package is included with full-time positions: paid holidays, vacation time, sick time, and medical, vision, and dental insurance.
