Job DescriptionSalary: Manufacturing Estimator (CNC Machining | Aerospace Commercial & Defense) Location: Euless, TX (On-site) Job Type: Full-time Department: Sales Reports to: Director of Sales About the Role Were an aerospace machining manufacturer supporting both commercial and defense programs. Were hiring a manufacturing estimator who understands what it takes to get parts through productionsetups, cycle times, tooling, inspection, outside processing, and the real-world constraints that impact cost and lead time. This role is on-site in Euless, TX and works closely with the shop floor, engineering, quality, and purchasing to produce input for accurate, competitive quotes. What Youll Do • Build accurate labor estimates and lead times for CNC-machined aerospace components (milling/turning; multi-op parts; prototypes through production runs), • Review RFQs, drawings, specs, and customer flow-downs; identify gaps and drive clarifications early, • Develop and validate:, • Routing steps and operation sequencing, • Setup and cycle time assumptions, • Tooling/fixture needs and consumables, • Material type, yield, and scrap risk, • Inspection requirements (in-process, final, and documentation), • Special Processing Requirements, • Coordinate with production to confirm manufacturability and capacity-aware lead times, • Work with purchasing/suppliers on material and outside processing pricing (heat treat, plating, anodize, NDT, passivation, etc.), • Partner with quality to ensure quotes reflect requirements like traceability, certs, and documentation packages, • Compare quote assumptions to actual job performance (actual vs.estimated) and continuously improve estimating accuracy, • At least 5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace machining required, • Hands-on understanding of CNC machining production (you know how routing/time standards translate on the floor), • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs, working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, • Strong grasp of cost drivers: labor, machine time, material, tooling, overhead, outside processing, inspection/documentation, • Comfortable working in an ERP/MRP system and Excel, • Aerospace quality and compliance familiarity: AS9100, FAI/AS9102, traceability, cert packages, • Experience quoting for commercial + defense customers and understanding flow-down requirements, • Experience with tight-tolerance machining, exotic materials (Inconel, titanium), or complex multi-axis work, • Produces timely quotes with clear assumptions and minimal rework, • Estimates reflect real production constraints (setups, inspection, outside processing, capacity), • Builds strong working relationships with production, engineering, quality, and purchasing, • Medical, dental, vision, • 401(k) with match (4%), • PTO + paid holidays, • Training and advancement opportunities
