Join our healthcare team and make a difference in one of the top Illinois nursing jobs. \n\nICU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n\n\t • Location: Chicago, IL 60612 – Work in the heart of Chicago, a hub for healthcare professionals and diverse patient populations.\n\t, • Contract Type: Travel Nursing – ICU RN\n\t, • Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center\n\t, • Start Date: December 30, 2025\n\t, • End Date: March 31, 2026\n\t, • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks\n\t, • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:30am)\n\t, • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed\n\t, • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)\n\t, • Floating: Required to float between Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and Medical-Surgical units as needed\n\t, • Orientation: First week on day shift\n\t, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910\n\n\nICU RN Qualifications\n\n\n\t, • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an ICU Registered Nurse\n\t, • Active Illinois RN license (must be in hand upon application)\n\t, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n\t, • Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system\n\t, • Ability to float between ICU and medical-surgical units; adaptable to team-based care models\n\t, • Strong compliance and documentation skills\n\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n\n\t, • Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU settings\n\t, • Manage arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips\n\t, • Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias\n\t, • Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure\n\t, • Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols according to hospital guidelines\n\t, • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR\n\t, • Float to various ICU and medical-surgical units as required to support patient care needs\n\t professionals and the facilities that need them nationwide.
