A Programs Manager who excels at change management, is adaptable, results-oriented, and a team player. We are expanding to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve, our growing programs, and our expansion as an organization. We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Programs Manager who is passionate about advancing reproductive justice and supporting marginalized communities. This role will oversee program development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery across all the regions where our doulas operate. Working closely with our executive director, staff, collective members, boards, and community, the Programs Manager will create an efficient streamlined process for our programs. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who can balance strategic planning with operational excellence, ensuring that our programs are effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our communities. The programs manager will cover 5 key areas: ● Community and member engagement ● Programs Planning, Execution, and Delivery ● Programs Monitoring and Control ● Stakeholder Management and Communication ● Team Management and Leadership Our organization is dedicated to promoting conscious, inclusive healthcare and advocacy. As a Programs Manager, you will play a critical role in fostering effective communication and relationships with our diverse stakeholders, including our collective members, staff, pregnant & birthing families, healthcare providers, and communities. Responsibilities: Community and Member Engagement ● Identify ways to get the community and members engaged in programs, work with program coordinators and other staff to promote, prioritize engagement and participation while reducing barriers ● Develop plans, timelines and budgets with the executive director and coordinators for focused and productive engagement and participation through promotion, including via visibility campaigns ● Identify and prioritize program requirements and membership enrollment to increase participation as a membership benefit ● Attend meetings, build/continue partnerships, facilitate education and workshops ● Support doulas to register, participate, and navigate programs ● Follow up with members and community after attending programs to determine satisfaction and provide additional resources/information as needed. Create evaluations, data collection, and reporting. Program Planning, Execution, and Delivery ● Define program scope, goals and deliverables by establishing clear program objectives and outcomes ● Develop program plans, timelines and budgets with the executive director ● Identify and prioritize program requirements by determining essential tasks and resources needed for successful program execution ● Help oversee program implementation and delivery; managing the day-to-day activities to ensure the program is executed efficiently ● Manage program resources, including budget, personnel, and vendors to optimize resource use and report to the executive director ● Verify that all program deliverables meet mission objective and timeline standards. Program Monitoring and Control ● Track program metrics, to monitor participants’ engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes to gauge program success ● Proactively Identify and mitigate risks to program delivery and reputation ● Develop and implement program quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency ● Conduct regular program reviews and assessments to evaluate progress, identify issues, and inform future development. Stakeholder Management and Communication ● Identify, analyze, and prioritize the needs and expectations of stakeholders, including executive director, board, staff, program coordinators, members, and community partners ● Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication plans to maintain consistent and effective communication ● Foster collaborative relationships by building strong relationships with community organizations and stakeholders ● Ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained to resolve issues promptly with program participants and stakeholders ● Develop and disseminate program reports, updates, and success stories to keep them informed about program progress and achievements. Team Management and Leadership ● Oversee the daily operations and performance of program teams and provide regular reports to the executive director ● Support and mentor program coordinators, volunteers, collective members, and program support staff to improve their skills and performance, providing ongoing feedback ● Set calendar performance expectations and support executive director in conducting regular evaluations to ensure team members are meeting their program goals ● Ensure staff and members have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality programs, including access to training, tools, and materials. This includes removing obstacles that may hinder performance and address any issues promptly. Requirements: ● Proven track record of developing and implementing successful program strategies ● Excellent communication, organizational, project management, and analytical skills ● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget ● Proficient in Google Workspace and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, etc.) ● Experience with data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions ● Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines ● Must have experience leading teams and coordinating large numbers of people ● Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment ● Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams ● Background in birth or reproductive justice work preferred but not required ● Must have access to stable internet and computer/laptop. Some travel is required including internationally. ● Commitment to anti-oppression and de-colonization work with a focus on racial equity and reproductive justice ● Must be familiar with trauma-informed care ● Experience in confidentiality, HIPAA compliance preferred. Full time, exempt, salary employee, 40+ hour work week, at will employment. Hybrid work schedule in office + remote. Travel is required, you must be able to travel across the country, and some international travel may be necessary. There may be consistent in person travel to San Diego, Michigan, Maryland, and Guam.
