What You’ll Be Doing • Ride out with the crew to different job sites—no two days are the same., • Use and maintain cool tools and equipment (we’ll train you!)., • Keep facilities safe and clean (including restrooms, offices, and common areas)., • Do physical tasks like digging, painting, vehicle upkeep, and landscaping., • Get your hands dirty assisting with repairs and maintenance of vital systems., • Work safely and follow procedures—your health and well-being matter to us., • Jump into all kinds of tasks—we’re a team, and we get it done together.Who We're Looking For, • You’re 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED., • You’ve got a valid Colorado Driver’s License and a solid driving record., • You’re a team player who’s not afraid to work hard and get a little dirty., • You can handle physical tasks like lifting, crawling, climbing, and working in tight spaces., • You're adaptable, reliable, and communicate well.Essential Duties and Responsibilities, • Loads, unloads, and transports equipment and personnel in District vehicles to a variety of work sites., • Maintains and operates all assigned tools and equipment., • Performs work in accordance with safety policies and procedures., • Keeps floors, walls, windows, furniture, and fixtures of offices, restrooms, and other similar areas in a clean and sanitary condition by hand or with mechanical equipment., • Performs a variety of semi-skilled routine manual labor and diverse duties such as digging, lifting, painting, landscaping, and vehicle maintenance., • Enters and exits confined spaces such as underground vaults and manholes., • Assists other District personnel in maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds., • Perform other duties and special assignments which may be outside the primary areas of employment., • Assist other sections as needed to complete the goals of the organization.Minimum Qualifications, • High school diploma or GED equivalent., • 18 years of age or older., • Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, • Skilled in operation of listed tools and equipment., • Perform strenuous manual labor., • Good mechanical ability., • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing., • Receive directions from others as well as work alone with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment., • Follow through tasks to completion and adapt to changing priorities, process conditions, and circumstances., • Enter and exit confined spaces such as underground vaults and manholes., • Work effectively with other staff members, individual customers, external organizations and the public. General power and hand tools, pressure gauges, ladders, valve keys, paint brushes, pumps, brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, MSDS datasheets, personal protective equipment, motor vehicles up to 1 ton, telephone, radio, gas detection monitors, fall arresters, and other safety equipment. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors during all seasons of the year and is performed in potentially hazardous environments: i.e. confined spaces, electrical, infectious, and mechanical hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
