Job DescriptionJob Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician Job Description Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, including conveyor systems, kilns, ovens, and drive systems. Duties include replacing mechanical components such as sprockets, chains, belts, and bearings, as well as lubricating parts with the appropriate oil or grease. The technician must be able to assess mechanical components for wear and determine necessary actions. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on various industrial equipment., • Replace mechanical components like sprockets, chains, belts, and bearings., • Lubricate machinery parts with suitable oil or grease., • Assess mechanical components for wear and determine necessary actions.Essential Skills, • Proficiency in mechanical and preventative maintenance., • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics., • Ability to read and understand blueprints., • Knowledge of conveyor systems, gearboxes, motors, and bearings.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with conveyor systems is required., • Blueprint experience is a plus but not required., • Proficiency with handheld tools such as wrenches and gear/bearing pullers., • Previous experience with industrial machinery. Work Environment Work in a large facility with multiple buildings, requiring technicians to travel across various areas as needed. The environment is dirty and dusty, and not climate controlled. The position is on the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm, with potential extensions to 1am and mandatory overtime before or after shifts, including weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
