Job DescriptionSalary: $90,000-100,000/year At Rocky Mountain Childrens Health Foundation (RMCHF), we provide critical support to children and their families while they navigate their childs health journey. The Director of Programs at RMCHF is responsible for leading and overseeing the foundations direct family support programs, including Patient & Family Assistance and The Stink Bug Project. Through strategic planning, program development, and operational management, the Director of Programs ensures our programs effectively support the children and families who need us. The Director of Programs will work closely with staff, healthcare partners, and community organizations to ensure the successful delivery of services and enhance our impact on the community. As a leader internally and externally, the ideal candidate is a compassionate leader with strong program management experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to RMCHFs mission. Through our work both directly with families and through medical professionals, we provide much-needed relief and comfort for sick children and infants. Whether its a newborn in need of donor human milk to thrive, a child with a serious illness looking for the companionship of a furry friend, or a family who needs to buy gas to visit their child in the hospital, we are there for them when and how they need it most. Responsibilities: • Leadership & Program Oversight, • Provide strategic oversight and administration for Patient and Family Assistance, The Stink Bug Project, and periodic special programs, ensuring timely response to requests, appropriate documentation, and efficient fund distribution., • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Finance on budget development, administration, and financial oversight of program areas. Monitor Programs budget to ensure responsible resource management., • Generate and present regular reports on fund administration, patient impact, and program effectiveness., • Maintain awareness of local and national trends in pediatric health to anticipate and address evolving needs., • Program Management & Development, • Lead and oversee the Stink Bug Project, working closely with the Programs team, families, and the Colorado Correctional Industries K9 Training Program to ensure smoother operations and successful dog adoption and trainings., • Manage partnerships with key stakeholders to maintain and grow program support., • Oversee utilization of patient request and reporting database system, ensuring it meets the needs of both internal and external users., • Support the development team in securing grants and donations for sustained program funding by providing meaningful stories of impact, and data needed to secure particular funding streams., • Provide leadership in planning and executing community outreach and patient events, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals., • Support cross-departmental special programs and projects as needed., • Community Engagement & Representation, • Serve as a representative for RMCHF in the community, including events and media., • Foster meaningful relationships with community partners and allied organizations, particularly the hospitals and medical partners who utilize our services for their patients., • Provide presentations and informational sessions to raise awareness of key programs., • Engage with board members at meetings through the year, providing them with stories of impact and data points that illustrate the broad scope of support RMCHF provides., • Team Leadership, • Direct a small team of Programs staff members, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight., • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams to highlight program achievements and updates., • Be an active and thoughtful member of the Senior Leadership Team. What Were Looking For: • Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:, • Expertise in nonprofit program management, budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning, • Understanding of pediatric patient needs, family services, and healthcare industry trends., • Ability to mentor staff, foster teamwork, and collaborate across departments., • Strong leadership in addressing challenges and making informed decisions., • Skilled in managing multiple programs while ensuring high impact and effectiveness., • Ability to engage with families and communities with empathy and sensitivity., • Knowledge of program analysis, impact measurement, and reporting., • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure., • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills., • Comfort with computer software, including Teams, Microsoft Office, Asana, and databases, • Education or Formal Training:, • Bachelors degree in health or human services field strongly preferred, • Experience:, • 2-5 years experience in nonprofit program related position, • Nonprofit management experience strongly preferred, • Experience working in health-related fields a plus Working Environment: • Ability to switch quickly between tasks and demands is important., • Position has few physical risks, but provides emotional demands from working with seriously ill children., • Must adhere to patient confidentiality and ethical treatment of individuals. Physical Activities: • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs., • Should have up to date driver license and access to vehicle for deliveries., • Should be able to tolerate exposure to animals (especially dogs) on an occasional basis., • Must be comfortable with movements associated with general office work including operation of a computer, typing, filing, lifting and moving of supplies, extended periods of sitting and standing.
