Job DescriptionSalary: $80,000 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Foreman to lead and manage all aspects of concrete work for multi-family and custom home construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising concrete crews, ensuring safety and quality standards, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining schedules to ensure timely project completion. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and direct concrete crews in daily operations including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing concrete., • Interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications., • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient job site operations., • Plan and execute all phases of concrete construction including foundations, slabs, footings, retaining walls, driveways, sidewalks, and decorative finishes., • Inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes., • Maintain high safety standards and enforce OSHA guidelines and company policies., • Monitor material usage and inventory; order materials as needed to avoid project delays., • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to improve productivity and performance., • Maintain accurate daily reports on labor, materials, and project progress., • 5+ years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role., • Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems (e.g., Symons, Peri, wood forms), rebar placement, mix design, and finishing techniques., • Experience in residential and multi-family construction environments., • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints., • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills., • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation., • OSHA 30 certification., • Full-time position., • Job sites vary; may include travel between multiple project locations., • Ability to work in a hot non-climate control environment., • Lead the crew., • Effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good comprehension., • Coach and teach crew members., • Apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills., • Manage differences and diversity at the work site., • Organize and delegate work., • Handle the administrative duties of position, including completion of required documents., • Is ready to take on new challenges and is willing to learn., • Has good work ethic., • Can adjust to change., • Can be a role model and one who leads by example., • Is willing to motivate and mentor crew members., • Is a team player., • Takes responsibility., • Is honest and acts with integrity., • Ability to utilize SAM Construction application on a smart phone, tablet or laptop., • Must be experienced and able to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and estimating., • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred., • High School Diploma or equivalent required., • At least five years of experience with concrete onsite with multifamily construction supervision/management required., • OSHA 30-Hour Construction required or have the ability to obtain., • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., • Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record, • Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks., • Able to stand and walk project site for extended period of times., • Regularly talk and/or hear., • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel., • Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl., • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment., • Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics and tunnels., • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally, • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds., • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces., • Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations., • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds., • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day., • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors., • Health, Dental and Vision insurance, • 401(k) matching, • Life insurance The SAM Construction Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
