Job Description Mission Support process improvement and production stability across injection molding, metal injection molding (MIM), CNC machining, and secondary operations. This entry to mid-level role focuses on learning and applying foundational manufacturing engineering principles, supporting troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Assist in developing, improving and troubleshooting molding, MIM, CNC, automation and assembly processes under the direction of senior engineering., • Contribute engineering support to CI projects and kaizen activities., • Support New Product Development (NPD) projects in collaboration with project managers., • Support Project Management by helping manage engineering tasks within larger projects., • Support documentation creation and revision (Standard Work Instructions, setup sheets, process checklists)., • Collect and analyze process data (cycle time, scrap, downtime) for performance tracking and process improvements., • Participate in root-cause and corrective-action (RCCA) activities., • Aid in mold trials, fixture setups, and validation runs., • 3D design and fabrication of jigs, fixtures, and related process equipment, • Support 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards in production areas., • Update ERP routing or process data as directed., • Occasionally communicate with both customers and outside vendors on engineering, quality and production-related issues. Key Metrics & KPI’s • Active participation in ≥ 1 CI project per quarter, • 90% or greater of assigned tasks completed on or ahead of schedule., • 98% or greater documentation accuracy and completeness., • 95% or greater adherence to QMS and validation protocols., • Ten percent or less of assigned tasks requiring rework due to quality or documentation issues Required Experience and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics or Industrial Engineering, • 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support environment (internship or co-op acceptable), • Functional CAD experience (Solidworks) and experience creating mechanical drawings, • Exposure to Lean concepts (5S, Kaizen, waste elimination), • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Internship or project experience in injection molding, MIM, or CNC machining, • Familiarity with ERP systems, • Introductory knowledge of SPC or Six Sigma methods, • Hands-on mechanical experience, • Experience with DFM and 3D printing Physical Requirements / Work Environment • Ability to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods, • Lift up to 40 lbs., • Manual dexterity for handling tools, parts, and components, • Visual acuity sufficient to read prints, inspect parts, and identify process defects, • Tolerance for manufacturing environments with heat, noise, and moving equipment Work Environment • Manufacturing facility with exposure to injection molding machines, CNC equipment, and secondary operations, • Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, • Frequent collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering teams on the floorCompany DescriptionEngineers.
