Job Description Title: Program Director of Quality & Performance Dept: Programs Reports To: CEO Status: Full Time / Exempt Position Overview The Program Director of Quality & Performance is responsible for ensuring that all WFIT programs consistently meet defined standards for quality, safety, engagement, & compliance across all sites. This role leads program execution, staff performance, & operational systems to ensure strong site performance, partner confidence, & sustainable program growth. The Program Director translates organizational expectations into daily practice, ensuring that programs are well-supervised, structured, engaging, prominent in the community, & aligned with both student needs & partner expectations. Key Responsibilities1. Program Quality & Site Performance • Manage site-level quality standards, including safety, supervision, structure, & engagement, • Ensure consistent, aligned program implementation emphasizing wellness across all sites, • Monitor delivery through observations & data to maintain strong supervision & engagement, • Identify gaps & drive timely corrective action2. Leadership & Supervision, • Maintain a visible leadership presence across sites, modeling expectations for supervision, engagement, & responsiveness, • Observe programs & provide real-time feedback to ensure safe, structured, high-functioning environments, • Mentor Site Coordinators to actively lead delivery, supervision, & staff oversight, • Intervene when leadership, supervision, or program quality falls below expectations3. Staff Performance & Accountability, • Supervise Program Managers & Site Coordinators with clear expectations & accountability, • Provide ongoing mentoring, modelling, coaching, feedback, & performance management, • Address performance concerns directly & consistently, with clear follow-through, • Design & oversee professional development & evaluation aligned with program standards, • Ensure staff are trained & capable in supervision, engagement, & program delivery4. Reporting, Compliance & Operational Excellence, • Ensure all reports, invoices, & deliverables are accurate, complete, & submitted on time, • Implement systems that support consistency & accountability in reporting & documentation, • Oversee collection & organization of program data for reporting & evaluation, • Ensure compliance with all grant, contract, & organizational requirements5. Partner Relationships & Site Retention, • Build & maintain strong relationships with school leadership & key partners, • Ensure clear & consistent communication regarding program expectations & performance, • Respond proactively to site concerns & ensure timely resolution, • Support site staff & student retention through consistent program quality & responsiveness6. Continuous Quality Improvement, • Lead a Move, Model, Mentor, culture of continuous improvement through observation, feedback, & action, • Use program data, site observations, & stakeholder input to inform decisions, • Identify effective practices & replicate them across sites, • Ensure underperforming sites improve through structured support & follow-up7. Program Growth & Strategic Alignment, • Lead planning efforts for program success & long-term sustainability, • Identify & develop new program opportunities, that diversify offerings with scalable stability, • Ensure all programs are set up operationally ready, staffed, & aligned with program outcomes8. Special Projects & Organizational Initiatives, • Lead & manage special projects, events, & cross-functional initiatives, • Ensure projects are executed on time with clear outcomes & accountability, • Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment & effective implementation9. Budget & Resource Management, • Develop & manage program budgets aligned with organizational goals & funding requirements demand, • Monitor expenditures & ensure responsible & effective use of resources, • Align staffing, materials, & program resources to support strong program deliveryPerformance Expectations, • Consistent program quality, supervision, & engagement across all sites, • Strong staff performance with clear accountability & follow-through, • Accurate, complete, & on-time reporting & compliance, • Positive, responsive, & reliable partner relationships, • Demonstrated improvement in underperforming sites within defined timeframes Reporting Structure Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Supervises: Program Managers, Site Coordinators Qualifications • Proven experience leading multi-site youth development or expanded learning programs, with the ability to drive consistent program quality & performance, • Strong organizational management skills with the ability to build, lead, & develop high-performing teams, • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities & projects, delivering results with limited supervision, • Track record of effective program leadership, including program design, implementation, & evaluation, • Commitment to high-quality programs & data-informed decision-making, • Strong project management & operational execution skills, • Action-oriented, flexible, & solution-focused approach to leadership & problem-solving, • Ability to build & maintain strong relationships with school partners, stakeholders, & internal teams, • High level of professionalism, judgment, & composure in dynamic environments, • Strong communication & collaboration skills across teams & stakeholders, • Willingness to work evenings & weekends as needed to support program operations Education & Experience A bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of program experience at a supervisor level in a similar role, 3+ years of management experience OR any appropriate combination of education and experience.
