Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Prevention Specialist position requires a passionate individual who is dedicated to serving the needs of the urban American Indian population. This position implements direct parent and youth engagement, curriculum, education, and community-coalition capacity building to impact substance abuse and prevent suicide through a culturally relevant prevention model. They are directly involved in raising awareness about the prevention of substance abuse including high-risk drinking, marijuana, prescription drugs, and suicidality as advised by a community coalition. Specialist is responsible for recruitment and outreach of youth and parents; workshop facilitation; event coordination; community/partner collaboration; and follow-up/retention services. Specialist will communicate effectively with members of their team, leadership team, community partners, and other professionals. Specialist will have a strong ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships. Specialist will also participate in data gathering, program assessment, and completion of required documents and reports. MAJOR FUNCTIONS: -Facilitate, teach and retain participants in evidence-based curriculum (Parenting in 2 Worlds, Living in 2 Worlds), community education workshops (Gathering of Native Americans, Safeguarding Medication, Marijuana 101, Vaping 101) and/or Suicide Prevention trainings/events, as assigned. -Assurance of the program curriculum delivery with reliability, integrity, and compassion -Ability to multi-task, work on several co-occurring events/workshops/trainings, both small and large, in a fast-paced environment. -Administer confidential data collection, data assessment, and data storage process. -Works closely with Prevention Program Manager(s) and project mini teams on scheduling and coordinating workshops including make-up classes as needed. -Timely record keeping and completion of required project reports as required. -Creation, coordination and implementation of appropriate events and presentations. -Collaboration with partnering organizations, coalition and community members to increase program effectiveness and awareness. -Works closely with affiliate programs including the Urban Indian Coalition of Arizona (UICAZ). -Implement program, financial and organizational procedures. -Participate in scheduled external and internal meetings and trainings. -Participate in other Phoenix Indian Center events, fundraisers, and outreach opportunities as needed. -Other duties as assigned. Job Description Cook (Part-time) Arizona Athletic Grounds - Mesa, AZ Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) in Mesa, AZ is one of the nation’s largest youth sports and event facilities, featuring multiple fields, courts, stadiums, and performance facilities. As part of the Food & Beverage team, you’ll help prepare, maintain and deliver exceptional service to major events such as professional soccer, top-tier basketball & volleyball, professional boxing, MMA, baseball, softball, national pickleball competitions, cheer and gymnastics showcases, special events, markets and more. Position Summary At Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG), part-time Cooks will prepare, cook and present food to our various indoor and outdoor activations on our 275+ acre complex. Our primary methods on site include grilling, frying, broiling, steaming and baking. All AAG employees make our Guests & Athletes feel welcome, and support teammates to ensure all areas of AAG food & Beverage, grounds, and equipment are cared for to help ensure a safe and exceptional experience. As an Area Director, you will work side by side with teachers, children, and families to provide a home away from home for children in our community. You will oversee several child care centers and manage directors to ensure quality of operations are up to BrightPath standards. You will be responsible for the overall operation of the child care centers including, but not limited to: recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, NAEYC accreditation standards, state licensing, and other internal company policies. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Address parent complaints and concerns related to education/classroom programs, • Recommend and initiate classroom reorganization including closing and openings of rooms/programs within designated centers, • Direct supervision of assigned Center Directors. Oversee daily responsibilities to include management of and support to Center Directors. Oversee training, management style, supervision of staff and facilities., • Ensure centers are in compliance with all state, safety, fire, quality educational programming and staffing regulations., • Assess overall appearance of designated sites including equipment, furniture, cleanliness, bathrooms, playgrounds, landscaping, etc., • Implementation of Crisis Management Plan in the event of accident, disaster, pandemic, etc., • Review customer survey and staff survey summaries and establishes and executes Actions Plans for improvement as needed., • Provides training on new policies for administration and staff to ensure policies and procedures are continually followed.
