Job Description Scenerio Designer Company Overview: KODA is a people-first company recognized as a six-time winner of Huntsville's Best Places to Work® Award, certified as a Great Place to Work®, and a Best Place for Working Parents®. KODA is a small business focused on solving complex engineering problems on national-priority projects in domains such as missile defense, hypersonics, DOD space, and civil space. Our expertise spans Radar and Missile Development, Multi-Domain Operations, Flight and Ground Test Planning and Execution, Tactical Data Link Testing, Test Range Instrumentation, Systems Engineering and Integration, Model and Simulation Development, and Digital Engineering/Model-Based Systems Engineering. The name KODA, a Native American word meaning 'allies', embodies our dedication to our customers and each other. Trust and integrity guide us in all we do. We prioritize our people, support national-priority missions, and give back to our community through the KODA Cares program. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a commitment to professional growth. Join us and learn more at . Position Overview: KODA Technologies is seeking a Scenario Designer to join the team responsible for Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test (GT) scenario design and planning for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). MDA GTs are used to assess our nation's defense systems through a variety of HWIL and simulation tests. The Scenario Design team uses its understanding of how each of these systems work and interoperate and of the associated adversaries to build the tests. Our knowledge is constantly growing. The team is also developing cutting-edge tools on the latest hardware. The qualified candidate will be able to analyze requirements and constraints, utilize existing tools and provide input for future tool development, and quickly learn the MDS. This candidate loves to put puzzles together, analyze everything, continually learn, innovate, and produce excellent products. Key Responsibilities: • Gather and maintain configuration management of Key Test Parameters (KTP) from outside stakeholders to define the requirements for optimal scenario development. May interact with outside stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and internal consistency of the KTPs relative to BMD capabilities and contract requirements., • Capture and maintain configuration management of warfighter operational execution constraints as provided by outside stakeholders. Interpret these constraints to evaluate appropriateness of proposed scenarios as being 'operationally realistic' or invalid as candidates for testing., • Prepare new permutations of trajectories of various missile systems using outside sources or execution of trajectory flyers, such as TGx, to build to the current repository of evaluated conditions in support of the proposed scenarios (as specified by test cases, waves, raids and target trajectories)., • Use available simulation and analytical tools (such as Prism, End2End and Cover) to evaluate the threat engineering space to qualify initial trajectories for consideration. Combine candidate trajectories into raids, waves and test cases to ensure optimal coverage of desired requirements with the minimum required testing resources. Incorporate BMD laydowns in defense of these test cases to support the desired KTPs for the test event., • Support modifications to the simulations and tools used in the scenario design process to enhance the representation of the BMD capability and scenario design process steps., • Report the results of the preliminary scenario test cases and respond to questions and concerns to build improved, community-accepted test cases., • Build standard products related to the scenario design to support ground test stakeholder's execution and reporting needs. Examples of these products include trajectory files, scenario matrices, 'blue water' charts, and Scenario Design Review presentation material., • Perform system performance analysis on BMD elements and their interactions with other elements in the system. This analysis can range from parametric, high-level simulation, or threat-based assessments to assess the general capability of the system against a particular threat environment., • BS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Physics, or similar technical discipline, • 2-7 years of experience in system analysis or characterization of MDS components (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis, Patriot, CD, UEWR, SBX, TPY-2, LRDR, etc.) to include weapon system and/or radar analysis experience, • Excellent presentation and communication skills, • Highly motivated and committed to completing tasks with excellence and within deadlines, • SQL experience KODA Technologies Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, status as a parent, national origin, disability (physical or mental), family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or other non-merit based factors.
