Job Description Job Title: Shipping Coordinator Job Description This position requires a self-reliant, highly motivated individual who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. You must be able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and accuracy. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing shipping, order fulfillment, customer returns, and shipping supply inventory. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accurate, resourceful, punctual, and reliable, with strong math and communication skills. You will collaborate with the Operations team to fulfill sales orders accurately and promptly, ensuring the proper products and quantities are picked, staged, packed, and shipped. Additionally, you will create shipping labels and documents, generate shipping quotations, communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers, and follow up on any exceptions. Responsibilities • Ensure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents., • Pick and pack orders as instructed, preparing them for shipment., • Coordinate with package delivery companies (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) and freight forwarders to ensure timely shipping., • Receive shipping supply inventory, verifying product and quantity accuracy, and shelve products., • Process outbound shipments, including moving boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds., • Utilize palletizing materials and a pallet jack., • Maintain accurate records of all items shipped and received., • Prepare shipping documents including packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, technical statements, and shipping labels for domestic and international shipments., • Follow up promptly on any shipping delays., • Purchase and maintain shipping materials and inventory., • Provide shipping quotes to the sales team., • Keep up with key safety training., • At least 3 years of shipping and receiving experience., • At least 3 years of inventory management experience., • Experience with logistics and export., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
