Job DescriptionEssential Functions • Reviews plans, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and inspections for the renovation, maintenance and repair of facilities and ensures compliance with BOCA. Fire safety codes, and technical sufficiency., • Reviews requests for proposed maintenance construction projects and advises superiors on the feasibility of the proposed projects; directs and oversees the scheduling, coordinating, and expediting of construction projects., • Review's maintenance construction bids by prospective contractors and recommends acceptance or rejection of the bids., • Conducts on-site inspections of maintenance construction projects to ensure adherence to requirements and resolve problems with contractors and monitor work progress., • Reviews requisitions and work payment invoices before recommending payments to contractors to ensure work follows plans and specifications; reviews and approves delay claims for liquidated damages to construction project., • Prepares reports on the status and progress of maintenance construction projects., • Monitors and maintains project budgets. Manages project plans, work breakdown, structures, and schedules established to successfully complete projects on time and within budget constraints., • Consults with project personnel, including contractors and technical experts to address design, construction/renovation problems and recommend potential solutions., • Meets with school personnel to assess needs and scope of projects., • Investigates construction requests and building problems., • Provides technical reports, site analyses, and space analyses and makes recommendations for course of corrective action., • May provide guidance to regional support staff. ? Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board's policies and the professional standards.Maximum Salary122657.00Minimum Salary72218.00Desired Qualifications, • Five years' experience in building construction and maintenance, including experience in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates., • Other equivalent combinations of education and professional construction project management experience may be considered., • Knowledge of building construction, renovation and maintenance methods and materials., • Ability to coordinate large construction, renovation, and maintenance programs., • Ability to interpret and prepare building construction plans and specifications., • Ability to evaluate the urgency of building construction and renovation needs and to establish priorities., • Ability to evaluate construction and renovation cost estimates and bids., • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency officials, contractors, architects, engineers, and others., • Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building., • Good verbal and written communication skills., • Completed online application, • Resume that clearly demonstrates the above minimum qualifications.
