This role supports a high-acuity oncology population across multiple specialized units within a comprehensive cancer center. Schedule: • Night shift, • 3x12-hour shifts, • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, • Weekend requirements vary based on unit needs, • No set or blocked scheduling, • Self-schedule requests accepted prior to final schedule posting Compensation: • Gross: $2,359 per week, • W2: $24.50 per hour, • Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week, • Locals accepted at the same rate Contract Details: • Start Date: February 23, 2026, • Duration: 13–16 weeks, • Number of Openings: 1, • Orientation: – Week 1: Monday–Friday, day shift – Weeks 2–3: Five bedside orientation shifts with a preceptor – Then independent practice Unit Overview: • James Clinical Resource Unit (Float Pool), • Comprehensive Cancer Center with 318 acute care beds, • Units specialized by cancer diagnosis, • Adult and geriatric patient population Floating Assignments May Include: • BMT, • Acute Leukemia, • Hematology, • Medical Oncology, • PCU Oncology, • Gynecological Oncology, • Urology, • Colorectal, • Surgical Oncology, • Corrections Healthcare Staffing Ratios: • PCU: 1:3 (may be 1:4 with mixed acuity), • Med/Surg Tele: ideally 1:4 (may flex to 1:5) Special Focus Areas: • Infection prevention protocols, • Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity PCU experience or higher required, • Oncology experience preferred but not required, • Ability to float to Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units required, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, • OCN or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred, • Strong telemetry skills and dysrhythmia interpretation required, • Experience with blood products, central lines, and IV therapy required, • Epic charting experience required, • Valid compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission, • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
