Job DescriptionJob Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in leading teams in line setup and product changeovers, ensuring the efficient operation of packaging machinery. You will be responsible for updating production systems, maintaining raw material inventory, and assisting in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks to achieve production goals. Responsibilities • Lead teams in line setup and product changeovers, identifying critical controls and issues., • Provide production run sheets to packaging machine operators for daily production runs., • Update production systems and case total boards to communicate production goals to the next shift., • Maintain raw material inventory and communicate discrepancies., • Set up and operate multiple machines in the packaging area., • Assist in keeping the production line consistently operating and clear of jams., • Perform basic troubleshooting and make minor adjustments., • Aid in troubleshooting packaging machinery issues with codes, dates, and prices., • Assist with or submit maintenance work orders., • Perform or assist with preventative maintenance as needed., • Monitor and check weights and product appearance as required., • Maintain and lead GMP, PPE, safety, and quality policy compliance, setting an example and validating employee compliance., • Assist with communications to Quality Assurance on holds and changeovers., • Assist supervisor in completing daily line paperwork on KPIs., • Read and understand machine data., • May assist with training of new employees and operators., • Run checks on metal detectors to ensure they are working properly., • Keep work area aisles and exits clear and free from obstruction, and remove trash from the work area floor., • Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives., • Follow instructions for safe lifting/carrying and identify/report equipment issues and job-related injuries., • May perform sanitation tasks, including equipment washes, seasoner cleanings, and wipeouts.Essential Skills, • 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience, • Preventive maintenance, • Troubleshooting, • Mechanical and electrical skillsWhy Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes operating in a packaging area with multiple machines. Employees are expected to maintain GMP, PPE, safety, and quality policy compliance, and to participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives. The role may involve sanitation tasks and requires adherence to safe lifting/carrying practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.35 - $25.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
