We’re seeking an experienced Leave & Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team and serve as the organization’s expert on leave administration, accommodations, and multi-state employment compliance. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled HR professional to play a critical role in protecting the organization, supporting employees, and influencing people practices across a growing national footprint. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this highly visible role serves as a strategic partner to Human Resources, Payroll, Legal, and operational leadership. In addition to administering leave and accommodation programs, the Leave & Benefits Manager will play a critical role in strengthening and scaling Go Rentals’ leave infrastructure, including process design, compliance controls, and optimization of Paycom leave administration capabilities across a growing multi-state workforce. The Leave & Benefits Manager is responsible for administering the company’s leave of absence and accommodation programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all states in which Go Rentals operates. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in leave management, employment compliance, and risk mitigation, coupled with a service-oriented mindset that reflects the five star standard we extend to both guests and employees. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented compliance professional with extensive knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, state leave statutes, wage and hour regulations, and multi-state employment laws. They possess exceptional judgment, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where they can balance strategic guidance with hands-on case management. They have successfully designed, implemented, and scaled leave administration processes, including configuring and optimizing leave programs within Paycom or a comparable HRIS platform. What You’ll Do Leave of Absence & Accommodation Administration As the organization’s subject matter expert, you will oversee all aspects of leave administration and accommodations while ensuring employees receive timely, accurate, and compassionate support throughout the process. Responsibilities include: • Administer all leave of absence programs from initiation through return to work, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA/ADAAA, Pregnancy Disability Leave, Paid Family and Medical Leave, Military Leave, and applicable state and local leave programs., • Manage the interactive process for accommodation requests, partnering with employees, managers, Human Resources, and Legal to evaluate and implement reasonable accommodations., • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requesting or utilizing leave, coordinating eligibility determinations, certifications, designations, intermittent leave tracking, and return to work activities., • Partner with Payroll and Benefits to coordinate leave pay, benefits continuation, disability programs, and workers’ compensation integration., • Evaluate, develop, document, and continuously improve leave administration processes and workflows, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and a seamless employee experience., • Serve as the internal expert for leave administration within Paycom, including system configuration, workflow optimization, reporting, testing, process enhancements, and implementation of new leave-related functionality., • Ensure timely and compliant communication, documentation, and recordkeeping related to leave and accommodation matters., • Provide guidance and education to employees and leaders regarding leave rights, responsibilities, and available resources.Multi-State Employment Compliance You will play a key role in maintaining compliance across Go Rentals’ multi-state operations by monitoring legal developments and translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions. Responsibilities include: • Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local employment law changes across all states in which Go Rentals operates., • Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, meal and rest break requirements, paid sick leave regulations, pay transparency laws, final pay requirements, and other employment-related obligations., • Partner with Human Resources leadership to evaluate and update policies, procedures, and employment practices to ensure ongoing compliance., • Maintain required workplace postings, employee notices, and handbook content to reflect changing legal requirements., • Advise managers, Human Resources partners, and operational leaders on compliant handling of leave, accommodation, and employment-related matters., • Partner with Legal on complex employment issues and assist with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.Audits, Reporting & Process Improvement You will help strengthen organizational compliance by maintaining accurate records, identifying process improvements, and supporting audits and reporting requirements. Responsibilities include: • Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready records within HRIS, leave management, and case management systems., • Conduct periodic audits of leave administration, accommodation practices, and employment compliance processes., • Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions and process improvements., • Prepare reports, analytics, and compliance metrics for Human Resources leadership., • Support responses to agency inquiries, audits, and reporting obligations., • Develop training materials, resources, and guidance documents for managers and Human Resources professionals., • Deliver training on leave administration, accommodations, employment compliance, and related topics.Required SkillsRequired Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in leave administration, Human Resources compliance, employee relations, or a related field., • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-state employment compliance., • Demonstrated experience building, implementing, and managing end-to-end leave administration processes and programs., • Experience configuring, administering, and optimizing leave management processes within Paycom, including workflow design, tracking, reporting, compliance documentation, and process automation., • Strong working knowledge of:, • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA/ADAAA), • California Family Rights Act (CFRA), • Pregnancy Disability Leave, • Paid Family and Medical Leave programs, • State and local leave laws, • Wage and hour regulations, • Proven ability to interpret and apply employment laws and regulations in a business environment., • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and case management skills., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment., • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and leave and compliance management systems.Preferred Qualifications, • Experience supporting a multi-state, distributed, or hourly workforce., • Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS)., • Advanced knowledge of California employment law., • Experience administering high-volume leave programs., • Familiarity with workers’ compensation and disability benefits administration., • Experience partnering with legal counsel on employment compliance matters., • Experience leading the implementation, redesign, or optimization of leave administration programs within Paycom., • Experience supporting HR technology enhancements and process automation initiatives related to leave administration and compliance.What We Value Five-Star Service We extend the same exceptional care, responsiveness, and professionalism to our employees that we provide to our guests.
