The Bakery Maintenance Technician will be asked to maintain the manufacturing facility by utilizing their experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer controls. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of machinery relating to bakery food processing equipment, physical structures, mechanical systems, and electrical systems. The Bakery Maintenance Technician must possess an awareness and understanding of how to work safely on mechanical and electrical equipment in a production environment under minimal supervision. What's in it for you? • Full-time hours, • Competitive hourly wage, • Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with company match, and more), • Paid holidays, paid sick leave (ESST), paid vacation time (PTO), • Great company culture and a friendly team, • Skill development opportunities, • Employee referral programShift Available:, • 2nd and 3rd shift availableKey Responsibilities:, • Position is responsible for ensuring equipment integrity and timely repair., • Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime., • Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues)., • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment., • Inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed., • Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures, and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures., • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), personal safety standards, food safety standards, as well as OSHA standards., • Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment, as well as all plant electrical and mechanical systems including motors, instrumentation, distribution, feed control systems and develop sustainable solutions accordingly., • Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders, detailed logs, and have good communication skills across all groups/departments., • Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed., • Identify required parts and maintain current inventories, and parts reorder lists., • Assure that all products are manufactured to the highest standard of quality., • Participates in continuous improvement, also provides suggestions to improve processes and participates on team projects., • Repair and maintain boilers, water heaters, water conditioning equipment, and all water distribution systems., • Monitor the main electrical panel and troubleshoot as necessary., • 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, • 3-5 years electrical experience, • 2-3 years bakery experience is a plus, • Basic machining skills & knowledge in industrial electrical control wiring, • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics, light industry food production machines, and packaging equipment, • Skills in metal fabrication and welding, • Able to bend conduit, • Knowledge of relay logic, • Experience with 480v - 208v systems, • NEC Code familiarity, • Able to stand for up to 10 hours, while working with and around machinery, • Able to stoop, bend and crouch on a regular basis, • Able to lift 60 pounds once per hour and 10 to 50 pounds repeatedly, • Able to sweep, mop, and do general, as well as detailed, cleaning go.cultureindex.com/p/XcCPO8dWOK6OLCElCs The Good Bread Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
