Position Summary: The Health Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining health information at Damien Center. This position involves utilizing electronic health records and other computerized systems to accurately enter, update, and retrieve sensitive health data. Ensuring the integrity of health information, the specialist verifies that patient data is correct, accessible, and secure. Duties and Responsibilities: This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position. It should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, responsibilities, and skills. • Provide Tier 1 technical support for core clinical systems, including, but not limited to, the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Pharmacy Dispensing System (PDS), Electronic Dental Record (EDR), and the central reporting platform, MARQE (Managing, Analyzing, and Reporting for Quality Engagement)., • Triage incoming help desk tickets, distinguishing between break/fix issues and enhancement or project-related requests, and escalate to Tier 2 support when appropriate., • Apply machine learning techniques to monitor and analyze user activity across the EMR, enhancing security, identifying anomalies, and supporting compliance with access control policies., • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues such as password resets, system navigation questions, and user access concerns., • Accurately document all support interactions and ticket details using approved tracking systems to ensure seamless escalation and resolution., • Deliver user support and guidance, including one-on-one assistance and group training sessions, as directed., • Assist in managing system-wide automations utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform., • Assist superusers in onboarding new staff and providers, ensuring proper training on supported systems and workflows., • Collaborate with superusers to maintain clear, user-friendly documentation and training materials for the EHR and related systems., • Support Tier 2 teams with system maintenance tasks, including performance optimization, software updates, and application of security patches., • Monitor and process incoming documents from the fax server to ensure timely integration into patient records., • Assist in the management and deployment of mobile devices in accordance with the MDM policy of Damien Center, • Participate in assigned committees to support organizational initiatives and cross-functional collaboration., • Bachelor's degree OR 2 - 4 years of healthcare experience using an EMR, PDS, or EDR required., • Exceptional computers skills in a Microsoft Windows environment required., • Strong understanding of EHR systems and healthcare processes required., • Familiarity with (eClinicalWorks) is a plus., • Complete EHR training with 90 days of start required., • Must complete and pass the following courses within 90 days. Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, and office equipment required. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
