Overview This role is generally responsible for providing clinically relevant information and diagnostics to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of vascular patients within an outpatient practice. This role will report to the Lead Registered Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for clinical matters and to the Office Manager for operational matters. The role is non-exempt. Responsibilities • Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures, • Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the diagnostic medical sonography examination ordered by the supervising physician in accordance with professional and facility protocols, • Apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography procedures, • Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images, • As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the interpreting physician, • Identify and document any limitations to the sonography examination, • Adhere to all requirements for IAC accreditation including quality assurance reviews, • Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary reports for providers, • Ensure reports are complete with all billing requirements, • Perform quality control procedures to ensure that the ultrasound equipment operates at optimal levels and manage a preventive maintenance program for ultrasound equipment, • Assist with the daily operation of the sonography facility, • Assist in prioritizing assigned work based on workflow fluctuations, • Graduate of an ultrasound program or formal training program, • RVT or RVS preferred, • Minimum of two (2) years ultrasound technologist experience preferred, • Excellent customer service skills, • Ability to work and prosper in a team environment, • Willing to be available for local and/or regional assignments as needed $40/hour - $57/hour. Job Description The primary purpose of this position is to provide each of the assigned residents with routine daily care by assisting with direct resident care duties and indirect resident care duties, as directed by the charge nurse, and/or certified nursing assistants. Assist residents in dressing and personal hygiene. Assist CNA’s with residents requiring 2-staff transfer except in mechanical transfers. Make occupied bed. Assist in obtaining weights. Provide full or partial bed bath. Perform incontinent care in bed to residents who can move in bed. Assist residents who are not on swallowing or aspiration risk with meals. Pass, set up, and collect trays. Place belongings within resident’s reach (call light, glasses, TV remote, glasses, etc.) Answers call bells in a timely manner. Make unoccupied bed. Empty commodes and urinals. Transport residents to the dining room for meals. Accompanying residents on outside appointments as needed. Visit with residents providing 1:1 supportive interaction (i.e., read their mail, newspapers, or books to them, transport them for visits outdoors when within residents’ care plan, transport to activities, transport to hairdresser, help to write letters, make telephone calls, etc.) Assist residents in communication involving technology (zoom, face time, skype, google meet, etc.). Check and clean dirty wheelchairs after each meal or after incontinent episode. Check and clean tub and shower room. Greet newly admitted residents upon admission, escort to room as necessary, receive paperwork from referring agency, and inform Unit Manager/Charge Nurse of arrival. Assist with inventory of new admissions. Assist in arranging for and making appointments for diagnostic therapeutic services. Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans that meet the objectives, standards and policies of the PACE model of care.
