Our Billerica, MA facility is clean, modern, and equipped with advanced CNC machines from Kitamura, Brother, Miyano, Doosan, and Smart. \n About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a machinist who can independently program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, taking raw material all the way to finished product with precision. \n Responsibilities \n\n • Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes (Miyano, Doosan, Smart) and CNC mills (Kitamura, Brother).\n, • Take projects from raw stock to finished parts with minimal supervision.\n, • Read and interpret customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications.\n, • Determine speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining sequences.\n, • Make trial cuts, adjust machines, and perform complete setups.\n, • Finish parts by machine and hand as required.\n, • Work with advanced tooling, cutting strategies, and modern machining practices.\n, • Perform in-process inspection using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, surface gages, profilometer, CMM, vision systems, dial indicators).\n, • Apply trigonometry and shop math to calculate dimensions, angles, and layouts.\n, • Use CAD/CAM software for programming (Fusion360 preferred; Mastercam also acceptable).\n, • High school diploma or equivalent required.\n, • 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience preferred (willing to consider strong candidates with less).\n, • Proficiency in multi-axis CNC lathe setup and operation.\n, • Experience with Fusion360 or Mastercam programming.\n, • Familiarity with Kitamura, Brother, Miyano, Doosan, or Smart machines a plus.\n, • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and work ethic required.\n, • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.\n, • Competitive pay (based on experience).\n, • Comprehensive medical & dental insurance.\n, • 401(k) retirement plan.\n, • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.\n, • Disability insurance.\n, • Stable, family-owned business with 50+ years of success.\n, • Work with Kitamura, Brother, Miyano, Doosan, and Smart CNC machines.\n, • Exposure to complex stainless steel & high-temp alloy parts.\n, • Modern, clean, and well-equipped facility.\n, • Career growth opportunities in a supportive environment.\n
