Job Description Quality & Compliance Manager- Cosmetics Direct Hire Salary: $76-78k per year Hours: M-F, 8-5 p.m. The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ensuring quality assurance, management, and control within the manufacturing process to ensure seamless product development and production of personal care products. This role ensures that products meet or exceed quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Job Summary: • Develops and implements quality control processes, procedures, and standards to ensure that products meet company, industry, and regulatory requirements., • Monitors production processes and product quality through regular inspections, testing, and audits to ensure consistent quality across all manufactured goods., • Oversees the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure full compliance with USDA, the FDA’s Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), Global Substantiation & Integrity (GSI) System, and ISO 22716 Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards., • Develops and oversees documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and audits within Mar-kov ERP for traceability and compliance reporting., • Oversees product testing, stability studies, and safety assessments in accordance with industry standards., • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international regulations, including EU, Canada, and other global markets where the company intends to expand., • Leads incident management, recall protocols, and corrective action plans when necessary., • Stays ahead of changing cosmetic regulations and proactively implement necessary compliance measures., • Works with external regulatory consultants, certification bodies, and legal teams to ensure ongoing compliance., • Works closely with the procurement team to ensure that raw materials, packaging, and suppliers meet quality and compliance standards., • Evaluates and approves ingredient sourcing, raw material composition, and product claims to ensure compliance and sustainability., • Monitors supplier compliance, conduct quality audits, and implement corrective action plans where necessary., • Supports cost optimization strategies by balancing quality, compliance, and supplier performance., • Leads and develops team, fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement., • Collaborates with leadership, operations, and procurement to optimize product innovation and operational efficiencies., • Key long term projects., • Lead the GMP certification project for the production facility and clean rooms., • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, quality management, or a related field., • In-depth knowledge of FDA MoCRA regulations, ISO 22716, GMP compliance, and international cosmetic regulations., • Experience managing a teams with a track record of driving performance., • Experience managing third-party manufacturers, supplier compliance, and ERP systems (Mar-Kov ERP preferred)., • A robust understanding of personal care formulation, ingredient composition, comprehensive testing, and claims substantiation., • Demonstrated ability to lead compliance programs, quality control measures, and supplier audits., • Experience in a growth-stage company within a regulated industry preferred., • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with procurement, operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams., • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities., • Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships., • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs., • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving.Company DescriptionIn addition to paying wages, we are responsible for withholdings, payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, unemployment, liability and bonding.
