This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting patient and employee safety. \n\nResponsibilities\n\n • Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized plan of care.\n, • Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.\n, • Provide patient information and status in a timely manner for initial and re-evaluation team conferences.\n, • Responsible for accurate, succinct, and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.\n, • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on the assigned unit, utilizing the nursing process for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.\n, • Initiate discharge planning upon admission and provide relevant patient education leading up to the discharge date.\n, • Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety.\n, • Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, delegating responsibilities appropriately.\n, • Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.\n, • Contribute positively to the functioning of the unit by providing calm direction and reassurance, engaging in team-building activities.\n, • Assume charge responsibility as requested, after the orientation period.\n, • Identify and pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.\n\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n\n, • Current RN licensure required.\n, • BLS certification required prior to the first shift.\n, • ACLS required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).\n, • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.\n, • PCU experience and previous Select experience highly desired.\n\n\nSchedule\n This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts per week. \n\nWhy ARMStaffing?\n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
